Did anyone else notice the "no call" on Marion Barber during the last play of the 3rd Qtr? Marion started moving forward before the ball was hiked, and then acted like he was trying to listen to what Bledsoe was saying. Marion ended up getting a short pass from Bledsoe and running for a first down (I think it was 3rd and 9). The next play resulted in the 40 yart TD to Terry Glenn. I thought that a lot of the calls the other night were bogus, but this is one call that could have hurt us a bit.

wow 4 days later, we're suppose to notice this one play, at this one paticualr juncture of the time. Yea, i noticed it man. I remeber yelling at the screen, to cut barber for doing something so dumb

Actually, from my understanding, he was not guilty of a false start because he got set again before the snap. Since he moved forward, he had to get set again before the snap to avoid the penalty. He could have moved laterally without a penalty at the snap. Linemen cannot move once they are in a set position though.

Your sarcasm is helarious. I think you should become a comedian and quit your day job. I guess you don't understand the meaning of a message board. I'll make sure to point out every time you bring back something over 4 days old. I wasn't saying anything bad about Marion, I thought he did a good job of playing it off. And yes, it was a very important part of the game.

That was what I saw at the time and confirmed by going back to TiVo and looking at it after hearing Mickey mention it in the Ranch Report on the Ticket. He did indeed move but being a back that is legal and he made it look like he was resetting. It was actually pretty obvious that he had jumped but it was legal because he reset. Smart move on MBIII's part and the result was a good play.

Hey, anyone else remember Emmitt leaning forward and not getting called for the false start on that 3rd down TD pass to Ismail in the '99OT skins game?

In keeping with this subject, did we ever get an answer from someone regarding that holding penalty on Greg Ellis? It was the one where the ref picked up the flag before explaining to everyone that it wasn't a penalty because Ellis "ran through the hold"?

Was that ever explained?
