According to witnesses seated in section 401 behind home plate, the fan was screaming at Alex Rodriguez, who had been sent up as a pinch hitter by the Yankees, when he suddenly lost his balance and fell approximately 50 feet to the concrete below, striking a railing on the way down.
Wow that is horrible news.

The Braves lowered the flags at half staff today in his honor (he was a long time season ticket holder), but it might have also been because of the Braves' season this year.

First, let me say....yes, it's tragic. I feel for the guy's family and friends...and also the people at Turner Field who had to witness the accident (especially the kids.)

But I have mixed feelings about lowering the flag for the guy. There are people in this country who die in accidents every day and their deaths (and their lives) go completely unnoticed. There are no honors for them...no flags at half mast, no matter how they lived or died. This guy got carried away screaming at A-Rod at a baseball game. And I've been wondering if alcohol was involved.

There is no need to compare it.

Not everything is done the same for everyone. Everything. They did it because he was a fan/season ticket holder THERE.
