What an exciting week it's been at The FAN. On Monday we announced a five-year extension with Texas Motor Speedway, and then yesterday we had the huge announcement that we are now the official sports station of the Dallas Cowboys! There are so many things to be excited about with the Cowboys partnering with The FAN but I'm especially pumped that we'll be talking to Jerry Jones and Wade Phillips on a weekly basis on The Jagger Show! And with the draft NFL this weekend don't forget to join Mondo, Dean, Jasmine and myself along with everyone from 105.3 The FAN this Saturday at the Arlington Convention Center for the Miller Lite Cowboys Draft Day Party. Come watch as Jerry Jones and the Cowboys make their moves for the future. Party alongside Dallas Cowboys players, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and fellow Cowboys fans. Admission and parking are free. Doors open at 6:00 pm at the Arlington Convention Center but come out early to join Ben and Skin starting at 1:00 pm just outside of the convention center for early coverage and check out the Cowboys merchandise trailer and other great activities. During the draft, the party will have special live coverage from the Cowboys' "war room" at Valley Ranch," and if you're there you'll know who the Cowboys' pick before it's announced to the rest of the world in New York.

On Sunday, go out to Market Street in Plano from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM to hang out with the Dallas Mavericks Dancers and ManiAACs for a Playoff Pep Rally. Bring your kids to participate in a Mavs Hoop Camp. We'll be raffling off playoff tickets, Market Street gift cards, and autograph prizes. Visit Mavs.com for details.

They have one good show and that show gets dragged down by tim cowlishaw. No offense to tim, But he is better on tv and as a writer than he is on the radio and is more suited for espn's style of broadcasting.

i dislike almost all their talk shows but unlike the ticket i can hear them my entire drive and not half static. i like espn103.3 ok but they don't have all the sports the fan does now.

for actual cowboys coverage it will be an easy decision.

the fan's morning show which i had never heard until today had brad sham on.

sham will have some tie to them regularly....

Brad sham has been on with pugs n kelly every week for the last 6 years, first on 105.3 then when they went to the bone. So him doing a radio show with a non sports show is no big deal, jagger is a non sports show.

For cowboys coverage the fan is actually severely lacking. Their lineup is really bad right now sans ben n skin. The only show worth listening to is ben n skin and they have a pretty tense relationship with mickey spagnola there insider.

The ticket and espn are head and shoulders better for cowboys coverage and the espn station is pretty lousy. The fan isnt even on the map in the ratings yet.

I am very glad the cowboys are on the fan though, the quality of the signal is fantastic and a dedicated cowboys HD station is pretty great.

The fear I have is that salisbury, newy, greg hill, mike rodriguez could possibly be involved with the pre/post game shows. That would be a disaster.

I was going to ask who this Jagger guy was. Joe's post says the Wade and Jerry shows will be with him... That could be a total disaster if a non-sports guy is doing it.

I wonder if CBS won't be trying to bring new people in as their contracts expire. Salisbury alone is an abomination.

If I had to guess, I would imagine that whole lineup would be changed.

And yes jagger is coming up on a contract and finishing this one out, so make of that what we will.

Not getting the hardline to jump ship was a bad thing for the fan.
I will still listen to the ticket for my cowboys news and occasionally during breaks switch to the fan.

Yep. They were having a pretty good time at the cowboys and romo's expense in december.

and you can imagine their nonsense when pittsburgh won the superbowl.

I really cant imagine wade phillips doing a show with them, he kept getting mad with george dunham and craig miller asking him stuff last year.
