Pat McQuistan

Why?

He's bigger and has experience at the guard and tackle position. I believe McQuistan will add more size to that already big offensive line the Cowboys have.

where is the poll?i will go with mcquistan too.

I think the Moderators could turn it into a poll.

I believe McQuistan is the best fit for that position behind Kosier....

I'm a McQuistan fan, but I don't care who the coaches like better.

I just hope whoever it is doesn't stink the joint up.

Berger. I want to keep McQuistan as quality depth. Plus, I believe Berger can get the job done until Kosier can resume his duties as starter.

Is there a 3rd option, e.g. another player via trade?

Not particularly crazy about either of those guys. Berger is not much bigger than Kosier and McQuistan is inexperienced playing OG in Houck's scheme and has always been about potential anyway (not impressed w/his play in preseason thus far).

I don't think anyone here has enough information to make that choice. DMN said Berger will get the job. I would have suspected someone else.

I'd nominate current Panther Toniu Fonoti. He was once called the next Larry Allen and played his best football for Houck in San Diego.

I've heard the Scouts have been impressed with Berger so I will go with him.

Im surprised Corey Proctors name hasn't been in the mix. Keep your eye out for him as a canidate.

But for now Berger.

If we have Proctor as LG we might as well roll out the red carpet and say hey you go sack Romo.

That's about it.

This poll is weak.

Last year I would have thought McQuistan no question. This year Pat doesn't look as good and at least it was reported early in camp that Berger was coming on and challenging Kosier. So lets see what he's got. I also don't think Pat has had any work at LG since he's been a pro.

Sure. 'Quality' a.k.a. 'good'. He may not be very good or great, but he shouldn't be poor or bad either.

Pat. He is big and strong. Also he is pretty athletic and is also a mauler, something we have been missing at the guard on that side of the line.

I saw it mentioned once or twice towards the end of camp that Pat was getting some reps at LG.

I voted for Berger just from seeing the big 6'6 315 pound ugly patty getting manhandled by backups in preseason playing ot
