8-9 is what I predicted when the schedule came out.

So, 8-9 or 9-8 like you said is what I see for this team.

The only way I see any different is if we have a dominate defense. Because I believe the offense will take a huge step back.

I know we have a lot of returning players on D… but the league will have had the opportunity to study Quinn and our tendencies, packages, and philosophy as well.

I hope the D plays well— but I have a hard time believing we lead the league in turnovers two years in a row

Almost everyone likes us better than the “realists” on here.

we won 12 last year, and were soundly embarassed. and have gotten worse (imo) while other teams have gotten better lol.

The only reason I am putting money on it is 1 because I think the defense is going to be much better than last season. I also expect the run game to be better.

And the biggest reason is they play the NFC east 6 times. So what you are saying is you only see them winning 2-4 games outside of the division? If they split with the Eagles and sweep the Giants and Commanders?

Honestly just asking.

i'm not mad at the bet, but i think it's crazy to attach it to a parlay.

Ill probably end up putting 500 on the over.

If you're that confident in the over, there are some books offering the Cowboys at 9.5 wins (for now).

Good luck.

I bet on games but I'm rarely comfortable betting season win totals. Just seems like there are too many variables over 17 games.

If I were to bet again, I'd never bet an over. I'd find an under I liked and bet on that. This way I don't have to worry about the QB getting injured.

Yeah that isn’t how line setting works..good effort though
I simply said they liked us and it seems they likely have brains.

But please, enlighten me on how lines are set and why theses guys don’t “like” the Cowboys.

Vegas will overestimate the Cowboys knowing people will bet the over because of fandom and they will make a killing. Usually you can make good money betting against the popular team. It does help that the Cowboys get to match up against the NFC North and AFC South which are the 2nd and 3rd worst divisions in the NFL to the NFC East.
Probably. But they also don’t want to set the line so high that no one will bet the over, right?

Season totals are by far easiest to win. That and weeks 1-3.
After that the world catches up to the obvious and it becomes tougher.

I'd bet over on 9.5 for sure.
I'd sit it out at 10.5

I'd predict 11-6.

I remember the mid/late 90s Cowboys were easy money if you were willing to take the opponents plus the points. The Cowboys were beginning to fade yet would still have double digit lines on road games because so many Cowboys fans kept betting like they were still SB champs.

There's still a bit of that today, because of the size of the fan base, but it seems strange given the team's lack of postseason success this century. As I've stated previously, I took the Niners plus the points our last game. Both teams were headed in opposite directions late season.
