"Charlton, all 6-foot-6, 272 pounds of him, is a physical specimen, and the embodiment of what you’d want a NFL defensive end to look like. But more importantly, Charlton possesses the twitch and movement skills that will translate to the next level and move the needle for those charged with deciding when it is time to pull the trigger."

Him or Harris pleaseeee
if its going to be anyone it going to be Harris. No way Charlton make it past Detroit at 21. From all the articles i have read on their free agent LE Devin Taylor, they are disappointed in the season he had and will be looking for his replacement in this draft.

Funny how many of you guys think this kid will slide to 28. Stranger things has happened but I don't see this being one.

There's like 8 or 9 guys at DE/OLB who could go in the first round. They won't all go before 28 and there's 3 or 4 who have a more than reasonable chance to be available. Nobody really knows who will and won't be available.

He's not so much better than Dodd or Ogbah last year. A bit better, but not massively better. If teams come out of the combine thinking he's more likely a LDE, that position typically is not considered RD1 material.

I like him and think he fits our DE prototype but looking back over the last 3 drafts, he's much more like an Ogbah or Preston Smith or Kony Ealy. He's not the electric pass rusher that goes higher in RD1 like Ziggy Ansah. The closest similar DE in recent drafts was maybe Chandler Jones at 21 in 2012.

Brugler likens him to a Justin Tuck. I'd take that all day if he made it to 28 !

That's who I saw even before NFL.com did the comp............I think Michigan's scheme hindered his outright explosiveness. here were times where it looked like he was 2-gapping before deciding to rush - on those plays, his burst was still good. But, when it looked as if he was just told to "GO GET 'EM", his burst for a 6'6" guy was really good - he just needs to work on his balance.

Moreso, I think I prefer him over all the other possible folks at #28 because he just looks like a true full-time DE - UNLESS OF COURSE Derek Barnett falls to #28.

If he makes it to our pick. He is mine along with many others top pick that isn't a pipe dream.

So Carlton v. Harris is the new Carpenter v. Lawson?

I think he's much better than Dodd. Maybe similar to Ogbah, but Dodd is inferior to both imo
