after the first week of the offseason, ALL of us rightfully jumped down the organizations throat for inaction both of outside FAs and their own.

Then the team signs quite a few impactful outside FAs but everyone (myself included) still said it didn’t matter because of no DLaw

However after DLaws signing today and scheduled surgery for Wednesday this cannot be anything other than an “A” offseason with the draft to come. Now I highly doubt there will be anything more than rotation players taken in the draft, but that shouldn’t lower the offseason, it should show what a fantastic job the FO has done filling holes.

Anyone that says they still haven’t done anything “on paper” just has it out for the FO. This has been best offseason in years.

Now they of course have to prove it on the field, but this is undoubtedly the best they’ve set themselves up going into a season as a COMPLETE team since 2007/2008

Honestly, a lot of the frustration and anger directed at the FO was because they could not seal the deal with Earl Thomas. Virtually 99% of this board was begging for the guy and when that didnt work out, a lot of fans got highly pissed off.

But you do make a good point...………...overall this has been a fairly good offseason, despite the fact the FO missed on ET.

This deal was always going to get done. Just another example of an entire mob getting frothed up and being 100% wrong.

This has been the kind of offseason we’ve needed the team to have the last three years. Aggressive, smart, short term deals. Filling holes with players who can actually push to start. They didn’t kill it, but the upgraded overall slightly and are set up again to improve through the draft.

Quinn and Cobb are big upgrades over the bargain bin players they usually sign.

This has been a productive offseason on paper. There's plenty of talent on both sides of the ball. Now it's up to the coaching staff to make it all work. If this team doesn't at least make it to the NFC CG, Garrett and Co have no excuse.

Agreed...………...I think this team has to win at least one playoff game, probably two to justify an extension for Garrett and Co.

No playoffs or "one and done" in the playoffs will probably trigger a house cleaning. And "if" it comes to that, next year will be a very good time to do it if you are going to do it. That is because we have roughly 35 players who have expiring contracts next year. A new head coach and staff would be able to drastically change the roster.

I have no major complaints about this off-season. I was one who didn’t care about signing ET so no big deal there. I like Witten but he was close to done when he left so I’d still like to see talent added there and I think there are a few play makers in the draft beyond the big 3. I’d like to see a safety added. O-line still needs work Williams just looked small for inside. I wouldn’t mind seeing a few key guys get done this offseason so we don’t have many free agents next year Dak, BJ, L Collins, Jaylon, and Cooper.

Who are you related to?:D Glad we got Lawrence re-signed bc you just can't let that talent walk and was a good deal. Amari next. but no rush tbh.

I was in the 1% of the people who did not hitch their off-season wagon to the signing/non-signing of ET. So I think they actually had a good off season bringing in some quality players who can be instant starters or impactful role players.

I don’t think they missed on ET they never got into a bidding war and it didn’t appear that they really courted him. You don’t miss on a player by offering him 9 mil a year when he got 14 mil a year from another team. JMO

While I understand what you're saying, I'm still concerned about all these one-year deals. We need to build a team for years and one year deals are not going to get it done. I would have at least liked to see some of these guys locked up for two years because if they have a very good year this year we won't be able to afford them next year. JMO

Only folks that did are the ones who had unreasonable expectations and don't understand how the Cowboys operate in FA.
Well the Gregory suspension and lack of 1st round pick made it impossible to even stay status quo with a bargain bin type player and just a 2nd/3rd round pick.

The safety didn’t bother me that much but the DL was unplayable 2 weeks ago. They had to get someone like Quinn which is out of their usual mode of operation

And, to be honest, missing on ET with the money he got might not be a bad thing.

When It come to Garrett, I'm of the Super Bowl or Bust mindset with this roster. Jerry and Stephen have built what I consider to be a Super Bowl roster. Garrett has to get us there now.

As was I. ET would have been nice, but that was depending on the contract. I didn't want us going overboard to get him which, coincidentally, I think Baltimore did.
