The fan speaks are really fun to do. Most of the time they are not very realistic as you will always have some players falling that probably will not.

However what I do find fun, and educating, about them is the later rounds.

A good deal of the times most will not know all of the names in the later rounds so sometimes they just look to take the highest rated at a position or the highest rated overall.

What I have done the last couple of years is to start looking up those players in the later rounds and try to find all the write ups I can for them. That way when the real draft comes along you will have a little
more names you are aware of in the draft.

So even though they might not always be realistic...they can be educational and I encourage people to start doing that.

I have in the past also said If I did not think a player would be there in the 2nd or 3rd rounds, I would pass on them and take the next person that probably would be available...just to make it more realistic.

This is also why I like all the mock drafts, no matter how realistic or unrealistic. Or if a fan really likes a player, even if it's because he is from the college team they like. but others don't think he is all that good.
It brings up names that you may not know, or have not heard of. but now you look them up, or know the name in the draft. Makes one a bit more educated on the draft, if they want to be.
There are a few players I now wouldn't mind taking, that I didn't know of before. If not for all the mock drafts.

I like that fact that it auto eliminates players from your mock so you have to make a realistic pick. When draft day comes, no one ever sees the risers and the fallers. But it happens every year.

I do think that my mock is realistic on player drafted and where they are selected.

Was not speaking bout yours specifically...but most of the fan speak mock drafts in general. You will see plenty leading up the to draft and see some that have players like Josh Doctson taken in the third or DT Rankins taken in the second and so on.

FYI Fanspeak added comp picks. Maybe they did it a while ago and I haven't noticed.

R1 (004)
R2 (034)
R3 (067)
R4 (102)
R4 (137)
R6 (192)
R6 (212)
R6 (216)
R6 (217)

If we trade back a tiny bit, maybe to MIA, where we stay in the top 10 and pick up another 2nd + find a trade partner for Leary (maybe they would prefer to defer the pick until '17), could be a fun draft day.

The mocks I end up being most satisfied by are the ones where we go DL in R1 and DL again in R3 or R4. Really put some energy into the DL and make it a strength like the OL. Add a major piece each year.
