The Silmarillian.
The Hobbit
Lord of the Rings.

I'm a huge Tolkien fan as well but Malazan is better IMO.

Yes, I've read all 10 of Erikson's main storyline books and a couple of ICE's books in the Malazan world.

They are unbelievably good. By far my favorite series ever. It is the most complex fantasy series you will ever read.

I'm also a Malazan fan. I still have esselmont books and the last two erikson books to read. Series is so dang epic.
