Greenberry had a good Saturday. Was hoping he would show something. I was sort of expecting to hear Greenberry (sp) was let go.
The Deontay Greenberry from the OTAs showed up at practice on Saturday. It has been a struggle for the rookie as some off the field concerns have finally been put to rest and he can concentrate on his job. During 7-on-7 he ran two really nice routes -- one crossing and the other a corner. Where he had been fighting the ball, he made solid hands catches and was able to break away from the defender.

Thanks. I saw that. Didn't think he'd make it to Saturday. But the report said he's had some odd the field issues. Maybe he can still turn things around. He ran some decent routes--just couldn't catch a thing.
With everything going on in his personal life, I think the Cowboys will be very patient with Deontay Greenberry. The young man should be given a chance to compete without profound "off the field" issues impacting his performance.

I thought Farmer had a shot at the practice squad, but he doesn't seem to care enough. I expect Goodley to follow him out the door as soon as he's healthy.
These UDFA receivers haven't impressed so far.
I guess Farmer's reputation, which was bigtime in Californy at one point in time, simply didn't stand him in good stead in Texas. No doubt, his past reputation had much to do with the big bonus $$ of 50,000 he got w/Dallas but dropping the ball on a daily basis in TC just didn't feed the bulldog. His decline actually was well underway in California, however, due significantly to various injuries suffered at USC. He had nice size and speed but not too much else left by the time the Cowboys signed him.
