Farniok at Fullback

Farniok played a few snaps at FB.

On a passing play, he ran a curl route.
- The ball went to a WR near the sideline, but Farniok was wide open at about 8 yards.

Trying to find something he does well? Do you think Zeke is worried about his FB job?

With us having to start McGovern at guard, the fullback duties probably fall to Farniok, who will be the swing guard/center.

Woohoo!

My dream of using olinemen as blocking FBs and TEs may finally be coming true.

These guys are all athletes. It's just not that complicated to teach a professional athlete to run 3 yards, turn around, and put his hands up. Some of them must have hands. They'll certainly be big enough.

Much easier than teaching Rico to learn how to block.

I saw him on one play but didn't see him in a pattern. I wonder if this is because McGovern is expected to start or if because Farniok seems a little quicker. While McGovern did a good job in this role his complete lack of quickness and foot speed limited what he could do.

Most of the biggest runs came behind Issac Alarcon.
