I think Farniok is a reasonable replacement for Biadasz. This allows them to shift Tyler Smith back to the LT spot so Jason Peters doesn't have to play a full 60 minutes. Besides, I like the formation where the bring Peters in at TE as an extra run blocker then run behind him and Tyler Smith. When they need a 2 or 3 yards, that formation seems to be good for it most of the time.

Underrated good news

I wouldn't assume too much good news out of this.

Could be they're just giving themselves an option for a *backup* in case of an injury to McGovern. Not entirely healthy, but a better option than anyone else we have available.

We went pretty light on interior oline backups to start the season.

First couple of Depth Chart web sites I look at, with Biadasz gone, I don't see a single backup interior olineman left.

The only backup left at all on any sites is Ball.

I suppose the world doesn't know about the Unicorn.
Let him loose!

Farnoik is a good depth player who actually got on the field and held his own earlier in the season. Dallas just had two serious injuries to offensive linemen the last month. Hopefully they activate him for the playoffs.

I know a few on here where propping up Farniok over the Summer but he was pretty bad when he played. Always good to have options I guess

I don’t get this line of thinking. It’s not like he has been out of football for a few years. He played almost every game last year. I know he is a year older. But I would think he could hold up for 5 games if needed.
Really? You don't get the concern about depending on a 41 year old OLineman to start at LT in the playoffs?

He has been a luxury for us up to this point. No need to really play him an extended period of time. He played 76% of the snaps last year and he wasn't there the first few games. All I am saying, I don't think he will wilt if we need him to play 5 games. Is it ideal, no. I would rather have the starting 5 we have had all year. But that may not be the option we have, and if called upon, I think he will hold up for 5 games, if we need that many, more than likely 1 or 2 will be all that is needed.
