I remember when Farrah was it. She was bigger then anything or anybody. Seems a shame that the Oscars would knowingly do this.


Farrah Fawcett Left Off Oscars 'In Memoriam' Tribute Montage

One big name that didn't appear in the Oscars 'In Memoriam' tribute to actors and filmmakers lost in the past year was Farrah Fawcett, who died last June of cancer at the age of 62.

The segment is generally dedicated to film stars, and while Farrah was best known for her role on the television series 'Charlie's Angels,' she also lit up the big screen in movies such as 'Man of the House,' 'Dr. T and the Women' and 'The Apostle.'

Also left off the list was Bea Arthur, who died in April at the age of 86.

I am not offended by this, but it seemed like a no brainer that both Farrah Fawcett and Bea Arthur would be acknowledged. Any excuse now is lame whether they knew about it before hand or not.

Actually, now that I think about it more, he was in The Wiz if you wanna call that acting. But he was really more a musician than actor.

I have not watched the Oscars in years, but I seem to remember they included more than just film, producers, directors, actors and actresses. I seem to remember Louie Armstrong, McDonald Carey, and Lorne Green.

Pretty stupid to leave off Farah and Maude but have Michael if you ask me. They were more tied to the film industry than he was.

They said that Bea Arthur was honored at the Emmys, since most of her work was in television.

That being said, leaving Farrah off was a bad decision.

Having a live music performance during that segment is also bad. They need to have some nice instrumental playing so the focus can be on honoring the people that have passed and not the song performance. That was also an issue last year, I remember.

lol, right after they finished the segment I turned to my fiance and said, "I bet you anything that tomorrow there will be articles about why Michael was on this and Farah wasn't."

I'm more upset they left Bea off.
