was on nfl network, i dont know if this is old news or new news guys and ladies. Farve said ted thompson has asked him to let him have a couple of days instead of him reporting to camp on sunday. Farve said he would give him that time, and the commissioner goodell is working as arbitrator. Looks like to me, but I am speculating here, looks like the packers are getting ready to trade farve.

I saw that on ESPN news that Favre also told the Packers he wants to consider more teams in a trade other than the Bucs or Jets. I wish someone would tell that prima donna that he has no leverage and the the Packers can trade him wherever they want. I also saw that he talked to Goodell and he told him that the Packers want him to be a backup or would trade him. I can just see Goodell telling the Packers to make Brett the starter again. I don't know why Goodell has to be involved even as an arbitrator.

Rant over :D

It's laughable, at best, that he has no leverage. If they try to trade him to someone he doesn't want to play for he's simply going to make it clear that he will not show up and that the team will be wasting their time. TO was able to get out of going to Baltimore, even after he was traded there, simply because he refused to show up. San Fran had to take him back and then trade him to where he wanted. That could just as easily happen in this situation. No one is going to want to trade for a guy who won't show up. Look at how well that worked out for Tampa Bay when they traded for Jake Plummer, despite knowing he didn't want to be there, and the guy simply up and retired on them.

So they Packers aren't going to be able to just trade him anywhere. If they want the trade to ultimately go through, and get their compensation from another team for the trade, they're going to have to trade Favre somewhere that he wants to be.

The could offer to trade him to the Cowboys, just to see Favre's reaction. He'd just absolutely love to sit behind Romo. j/k. Favre would have a heart attack.

Romo aside, what would Dallas want with him? Favre could never win at Texas Stadium anyway. :wink2:
