anyone think he's starting to live up to his billing? he's got hands of glue and is proving hard to bring down, sometimes carrying guys, I know he wasn't, and still isn't, the flashy pick, but he's emerging into an important cog of our O, although his blocking still needs work

I hated the pick, but now that we have Romo, Fasano actually has a chance to catch a pass. I will give him a chance to win me over as the season goes on.

Funny that he starts getting mention after Romo's first start...

Coincidence? I don't believe in such things...

Feel free to look back at my previous posts. Fasano is no joke.

He was good in college, but then he was one of Quinns primary targets. This has to be an adjustment for him.

I think at this point he's more of a decoy. When you have both him and Whitten on the field Whitten is always going to get the first look.

Unless I'm totally mistaken and the Cowboys didn't use any 2 TE formations at all tonight, in which case you can disregard this post.

Our #2 TE is better than Carolinas top TE. LOl that definately helps. I mean we seen their Tight Ends dropping a couple balls but Fasano and Witten didnt drop any. Fasano's official stats were 3 Catches for 15 yards but he also had a nice 15 yard catch and run that was called back here in the game on a holding call.

I actually noticed Fasano last week when Romo came in the game. He should be a nice asset throughout the season and for years to come :). Its nice that we are finally able to use him.

It's Witten. No "h". I know I saw Witten in on one of Fasano's catch's. I dont know if one of them was lined up in the backfield or not.

The whole point of having Fasano and the only way he is worth a 2nd round draft pick is if he completely gives our offense an extra dimension.

Rather than have a 3rd wideout in there, we need Fasano to be able to block and catch very well. He needs to be a cog in the running and passing game. If he does that for us down the stretch (he needs to improve his blocking on running plays) it'll be worth the 2nd round draft pick we spent on him.

So far I like him better than Jacob Rogers, I can say that without hesitation...

No doubt, but he's not at ND any more. He's filling his role very well IMO.

Once again.... the guy can block...and the guy can catch.

I think some people expected him to have Witten numbers.

That isn't his role in this offense.

He is prodimantely the h-back. He is going to lead block for Jones. And he is going to become an outlet man.

If he can create wholes for Jones, give help to Colombo and Adams, and then get the key first down here or there when everyone else is covered... then he is adding a dimension to the offense that an extra receiver just doesn't.

While you can still spread them out with Fasano in there, you can also create a mismatch.

He was good in college, I have faith that Fasano will grow into bigger numbers and a bigger target in the offense.

I think it's quite obvious that #11 is a big reason our TEs weren't more involved earlier in the year...
