Faulk Says The Skins Will Runaway With NFC East

Don't see how this is such an absurd notion, the Commanders have taken advantage of their schedule thus far, and everyone else keeps shooting themselves in the foot.

we spotted them a 1-7 start last year and they STILL finished last. Having said that, the only reason that happened is because we made a coaching change. The Eagles are not going to do that, so there is a good chance the skins will NOT finish last. The Eagles are in a tailspin. But we played them with one hand behind our backs and beat them. They have not had any significant injuries yet. They have played the dregs of the NFC West, we played the best team in the NFC West and won. Our chance to play the Cards, Rams is coming. After this Sunday we will have played the Jets and the Pats....they have yet to play any teams in the AFC East. We dominated the Lions, the 2nd best team in the NFC (I guess) but somehow lost. So for them to claim that, this early in the season, with the Skins having a ONE game lead is comical

Why would anyone think they will "run away" with the division when the team they lost to is in their division and has only one more loss than they do (not to mention a better roster)? Could the Skins win the division? Sure, it's possible. Will they run away with the division? It's very unlikely.

It's nice to know that the team we beat with a quarterback who could barely raise his arms, almost completely depleted receiving corps, one-armed running back and banged-up secondary is that good.

Makes me think we should go undefeated if all of those players return healthy.

Well put. Every year there are some teams that start off with a nice record and do nothing. Remember 5-0 Denver a couple of years ago? Washington will be competitive, but they are certainly not looking like division-dominating, world-beaters. Barring injuries and more self-destruction, Dallas is the best team in this division.

They were 6-0 and finished 2-8 after the bye. I was at the win against the Cowboys .

Yep, plus I don't take much stock in anything that an idiot or liar has to say even if it is in an area of he or she suppose expertise.

It is almost like valuing the opinion of a crooked used car salesman when you are about to purchase a car. Sure the salesperson has the ability to give you good advice but how can you tell when they are full of it or telling the truth?

Faulk dumb *** has zero credibility and that extends across anything that comes out of his mouth.

I feel the same way. I thought that at the beginning of the year. They are being built the right way. Solid running game. Solid Defense. The only question mark is Grossman.

I have a hard time counting out the Eagles. They have too much talent to be this bad. The Giants are still a crappy team. I think it’s wide open still.

Of course every media guy will pick the obvious teams to do well. They do this every year. It’s a long season. The teams that have proven themselves in the past (Saints/Green Bay) are a little more reliable.

Agree with this assesment.

I like where our team is right now and I like the direction of the team. I think we'll be very competitive the rest of the way due to the play of both lines.

We'll be in the hunt in December, however there is no way we run away with this thing. That would imply a 10-2 type run to finish the season and I don't see it with 4 division game left, as well as the Pats, Jets, 49ers, Bills and hell even the Panthers.

Exactly, the Skins have been consistent on both sides of the ball playing every team they face competively. Grossman has done a good job of not turning the ball over, as long as he does that the defense will carry them. However now that the Boys are healthy, I expect us to catch fire.


This is going to be a heck of a season.

I agree. However, I want to see us put together a string of wins and establish consistency. We're likely the most talented team in the division. But we have a way of shooting ourselves in the foot.

If we would adopt a similar approach to Washington's, we'd run away with the division.

Some of you shouldn't give too much credence to certain people in the media who don't really deserve it.

The fact that Faulk said the 'Skins should "runaway" with the division should automatically make people ignore him, especially in this day and age of the NFL.

I dont know. Faulk was the only one out of Sanders, Dukes, Sapp, and 1 other person that said Romo is capable of winning a SuperBowl.

The Commanders enjoy a favorable schedule the rest of the year. I wouldn't be at all shocked if they won the East -- nor would I be worried.

The Cowboys still have the major wildcard contenders -- New York and Tampa Bay -- remaining on their schedule. If they can win those games, their chances of the making the playoffs are high, in my opinion.

Who here fears a playoff game at FedEx? Not I. It would make the victory even sweeter.

I dont care who wins the Wash/philly game really. Phila does scare me more tho. If Wash wins, even tho the eagles seem buried, we still have to take care of our own business and beat them, hopefully twice. If Wash wins and philly really goes awol, and we lose to philly later, our WC chances are hurtin anyways. I would rather philly win and keep the division bottlenecked and we take care of the rest.
