Faulk vs. D-Ware on NFL Top 100

Someone please roll the gif of DeMarcus planking that punk

Yeah, I just saw it. Unfortunately for him, the player's opinions mean more than his. Afterall, they are the ones who have to face Ware every week. Therefore, I think their views carry more weight.

Context, please.

The discussion was where DeMarcus belonged on the top 100 list. DW was 12. He was a guest in studio. Marshall was live via remote. McGinnest, Dukes, Jay Frazier were also in studio, and I think all agreed that Ware should have been top 10. Marshall of course, disagreed. Ware, of course, said he felt he should have been #1. Marshall then said, that given his time working with Irvin, he thinks "anyone who wears the star on their head, is pretty delusional." That got a big laugh from everyone.

Didn't see anything where DeMarcus pwned Marshall, but he may have.

Ware pwned Marshall on the field in our last game of '05. Couldn't find it on YouTube, but Faulk takes a sweep Ware's way and DeMarcus absolutely plants him. Anyone have it?

This is probably Marshall's petty way of getting back.

Here is the video from a previous thread:

I loved that before he bothered to talk about Ware that Faulk mentioned he couldn't speak to the players outside the top 20. But now that we are in the top 20 its the guys he is comfortable with.

You get paid to talk football, are you kidding me? You only know the top 20?

And then he couldn't even come up with a legit reason why he liked Freeney more. As much as I like NFLN, I can't bring myself to watch their pre-game due to that clown.

I hate the fact that almost all football commentators today are ex-players. The problem is that players are almost universally dumb. And the ones that cry for the most attention are the dumbest. And that translates to the commentators being unbearable.

Does this mean you agree with their opinion that DeMarcus Ware is #12 on the Top 100 players?

I heard his comments about the top 20. I found nothing strange about them. How does one person decide who the top 100 players are? It's all arbitrary any way. But when you narrow it to a few, then it becomes a little bit more manageable.

Yes, I agree with the players' ranking that Ware is #12 on the top 100 players list. DeMarcus Ware is one of the top defensive players in the league, so I personally have no problem with where he is ranked. If Marshall disagrees, then that is his business, but the point I was making is that I place preponderance in the views of the players because they are the ones who have to scheme against him. They know how effective a player is moreso than someone who is sitting in a studio. At the end of the day, it is all subjective anyway.

That was a funny exchange with Ware on the set. I liked it.

Marshall was on remote cause he was scared he would be hit my Ware again.

That tackle by DeMarcus Ware is a textbook tackle. That's how I learned to tackle playing football at a young age. Hit, wrap up, drive through the opponent.

Add that hit to when Faulk almost got knocked out by Roy Williams and its easy to see why he hates the Boys lol.

Fair enough. I agree with your post. I feel Ware is worthy of a Top 10 ranking, but it's nothing to get bent out of shape over. I mean, who cares what Faulk thinks? It's just his opinion.
