1. The Outlaw Jose Wales. One of the best Westerns ever made, full of good lines. Eastwood at his best.

2. Absolute Power. Eastwood plays an aging jewel thief who witnesses a murder by the Secret Service. Excellent film, made from David Baldacci's book.

3. In the Line of Fire. Eastwood is great, but John Malcovich is awesome as a deranged would-be assassin.

4. Sudden Impact. My favorite of the Dirty Harry films.

5. Bloodwork. Great story.

6. Dirty Harry. The first one. World, meet Inspector Harry Callahan, an American hero.

7. The Dead Pool. Watching Harry clean the streets of San Francisco never gets old.

8. Unforgiven. Highly-acclaimed Western, but I liked Outlaw Jose Wales much better.

9. Pale Rider.

10. Hang 'em High. Sentimental favorite because parts of it, including the hanging seen at the beginning was filmed less than a mile where I now live, along the Rio Grande.

11. Every Which Way But Loose. Goofy comedy helped along by "Clyde."

12. Joe Kidd.

I agree 100%.
Josey: "you a Bounty Hunter?"

Bounty: "Man's got to do something to make a living."

Josey: "Dying ain't much of a living boy."

Classic.

They haven't started filiming it yet according to www.imdb.com which by the way is a great site for finding out what movies your fav actors are in. just search their name on the site and look at all the movies they are currently signed to do.

Dirty Harry (2006) (VG) (announced) .... Harry Callahan

THis is a great site to check the status of movies your waiting on.

Now back up there Pilgrim... John Wayne is an American icon... and a great American... and his body of work speaks for itself...

BUT... Clint Eastwood has been a part of pop-culture for 4 decades as well...

John Wayne is not greater than Clint Eastwood and Clint Eastwood is not greater than John Wayne... they are different...

BUT... Clint wins the versatility challenge... between the two of them... they have probably made 99% of the greatest westerns EVER...

Both icons in their own respect!
