Atlanta is tied for 2nd worse rushing yards per play at 2.8.
+ Atlanta is 22nd in league in rushing at 80.5 yards a game.

+ Dallas' defense is 3rd in the league giving up 257.5 yards per game.
+ Dallas defense is 4th in the league giving up 29 total points or 14.5 points per game.
= Dallas should be able to eliminate Atlanta's rushing attack and make Atlanta a one dimensional team. One dimensional teams normally don't do well.

Stats are kind of meaningless in week 2 and they are only somewhat reliable in later weeks. But yeah it's good stuff either way.

Agree
But if we can score and make these teams one deminsional we can beat them
I don't know about the pats but if we can keep jones in check and hit Bree's a bunch we got a very good shot at both these games

Defense been playing very well as we already know. But I heard on a show this morning, the defense knows it will need to step up without being told.
But they said this is where Marinelli pulls the D together, and tells them, hey you been playing great, but now is the time to really step up even more. Not that we need to protect the offense but to continue to get where we want to be.

Or something to that effect anyway.
Marinelli will have them ready and swarming to the ball as usual. From what I seen of the Falcons this year, our D can create some turnovers. Get them on their heels a bit, and mistakes will happen.

The Falcons seem to start fast, then fade in then 2nd half. Just keep it to within reason, let the OL keep pounding them and wearing them down. We may break a long TD run or 2.
D may even score again.

The Falcons and the Saints are both finesse teams.

I'd line up and run the ball early and often against both teams. Who cares if they know it's coming. They are both soft up the middle.

Let's smash mouth them and then keep them guessing in the air.

We have the advantage of being better in the trenches against both of these teams and I'm a firm believer that the game of football begins and ends with the trenches, no matter who is playing quarterback.

Protect the ball. Pound the ball. Score the ball.

The Falcons don't have a running game and with Coleman out, don't want to rely on a 3rd down back in Freeman to carry the load. We need to leave 7 in the box and disguise our blitzes and hit Matt Ryan as often as possible. He timids up and plays scared when he's knocked around.

I'm ready for Sunday!

We need Witten to play though. Without Witten or Dez, our offense will be limited. We really really need Witten to play.

Also, it's rare when teams win road games in consecutive weeks -- although the Cowboys did it twice last year. This will be Atlanta's second consecutive road game.

Ooh. This is actually a really good point.

I have a good feeling about this week, though I really shouldn't. It'd be pretty awesome if we pulled out another game here, though.

3-0 Dallas
1-2 Giants
1-2 Skins
0-3 Philly

That would be nice.

If Brees is injured I think 4-0 is a real possibility. IF Weeden got a couple of wins under his belt like that then who knows where his confidence might take us?

Atlanta should be one dimensional with Coleman out. Freeman is good at catching passes. I don't even want to think about the Saints yet. We need this win vs. Atlanta. Julio is what scares me. He's up there with Bryant and Antonio Brown.

I would be shocked if Dallas doesn't scheme to take him out, just like they did with OBJ. Double coverage and hard hits.

I think the OL comes out and plays with a boulder on their shoulder. So, yes, pound it down their throats, step on their throats, and then the choke hold to finish them off. Run, Run, Run. Isn't that a song by Jo Jo Gunne from a very long time ago. Lol.

And the DL on the other side, will want to stop the run, and make them one dimensional. Then, tee off on the pass rush.

Agree, Sounds like a good game plan to me too.

I agree. I think our run game steps up. One of the backs may separate themself from the other.

He is playing exceptionally well.

As for New Orleans, well, Rob Ryan.
