My family used to play it all the time. (the guys anyhow) We first got that game in October 1985ish. It was great, but took a minimum of 6+ hours to play. My brother bought it again about 3-4 years ago, it looks completely different, but still plays somewhat the same.

I don't remember much about it. Just that we would play for hours while drinking.:laugh1:

It was only one training session and since I was pretty ignorant, we started from scratch.

Like I said, I knew the concept of 21, but basically, he was just telling me how to judge when to hit or stay. The goal is to beat the dealer not necessarily to always get 21. If you do, then that's just more money won.

Told me when to use the Ace as 10 or 1 (I think).

That when he had a 10 or a face card to assume he had 17.

Sorry if that info is not any good.

That's not how he meant it. Just said that it could count as one or the other depending on the circumstances.

Say you have a 5 and an Ace... Count as 6 or 15? That kinda thing.

I think you meant 11 WG.

when I was young, we used to play a drinking board game called Passout.
You had to say tongue twisters correctly or you had to drink.

I memorized the hard one.

Moses supposes his toeses are roses, but moses supposes erroneously. For nobody's toeses are posies of roses as Moses supposes his toeses to be.

It's possible.

We only played a little bit, but I know more now than I did before I played with him.

You play your cards according to what the dealers up card is showing. The key to blackjack is not hitting 21 it is more about letting the deal bust since he has to hit on anything less than 17. If dealer is sitting there with a 6 face up and I have 14 I would just as soon stick to my 14 and let the dealer bust because odds are he will.

Another card game was Mille Bourne, a French driving card game. It was awesome, much better than Uno, etc.
