I love the classics by Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, etc.

But.... Christmas isn't complete without a hula hoop. I've loved hearing this at Christmas for as long as I can remember

I really like how they redid Blue Christmas with Elvis and Martina McBride and blended her into the original live performance that Elvis did

I loved most everything Elvis did. And this was pretty cool what they did with Martina. She is such a sweet, sweet person as well and a beautiful voice.

Thanks for posting that.

My favorite is one that most probably haven't heard of. It's a song by Garth Brooks that was on his Christmas CD several years ago called "Garth Brooks & the Magic of Christmas." I actually heard it for the first time on the way to a family get together and had to have it. It has never been a commercial success as far as I know, but the lyrics of it and the gentle sound of the song just really move me.

I wish I could find a wave file of it so you can hear it. The lyrics are the best I can do.

Mary Had a Little Lamb

Mary had a little lamb
One holy morning
'Neath the star of Bethlehem
A brand new day was forming

Guided by the shining light
And the angel's voice
Wise men traveled through the night
To see the baby boy

'Cause Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God

They gathered 'round to see the lamb
In the manger sleeping
Such a humble throne for Him
The promise God was keeping

There the shepherds bowed their heads
Among the cattle lowing
The first ever Christmas gift
Was wrapped in swaddling clothes

Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God

For the world a sacrifice
Mary did give birth
The way she held him in her arms
Is how He holds the earth

Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God

Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God

Oh, Mary had a little lamb
King of kings and son of man
Mary had a little lamb of God

I'm also a big Elvis fan. This is a terrific choice.

I love that song too. Ella's version is great, but ever since watching Elf, I find myself REALLY wanting Zoey Daschanel to sing this for real. Her quick rendition in that movie is sexy as hell.

My favorite has always been Silent Night.

Recently I watched "Fred Claus" and heard one of the most beautifulest rendentions of that song. Imagine my surprise when I learned that it was Sinead O'Conner!!

Yes, that's a very calm, reassuring song. "We Gather Together" is my favorite hymn.

You need a calm song living in DC.

Can any of you gurus load that for me??

I like Silent Night in Spanish as much or more than in English.

Here's a video of Gloria Estefan singing it in both languages. The Spanish version "Noche De Paz" begins about 3:15 into the video.
