elvis' drummer from '69-'77.
best heard on the live albums as recorded at madison square garden('72)...and recorded live on stage in memphis('74).

He did a lot of great work with Jerry Garcia and Garcia/Saunders.

My son’s band had a smaller gig at the Gas Monkey and Vinnie Paul came to watch them play. He met with the band after the show and my son said Vinnie was really a cool guy.

What's the name of your son's band? I seen Vinnie at the Gas Monkey a few times.

He left the band 6-7 years ago and headed off to college. I can’t remember their name (something weird that started with an R) but the headliner was Avatar. He’s played both venues but this was at the bar & grill location.

He still plays in a couple of straight edge bands but mostly for fun. Luckily he has other ambitions…that can be a tough business.
