If you're like me and into clubbing and therefore electronica/trance, "Halcyon" by Chicane or "There is Only One Sky" by Skybase Beyonder. If you're in a contemplative mood, "Hyperborea" by Tangerine Dream, "Ragas in Minor Scales" by Phillip Glass & Ravi Shankar, or "Psyence Fiction" by U.N.K.L.E. If you want to get psyched up, "Conquest of Paradise" by Vangelis.
That UNKLE album is a classic. DJ SHadow is godlike.

Not sure if it's my favorite, but it's good. :laugh2:

Yeah, the album is eclectic - some speed metal-sounding stuff, some classical-sounding stuff, some mellow stuff, some harder stuff, etc. I like that U.N.K.L.E. is more techno-oriented now, but this first album was a keeper.

The Ashokan Farewell as performed by Celtic Women.

Or the Inner light from Star Trek.

Canon ~ Pachelbel

Not sure if it is considered instrumental per se, since it is Classical, but it is my favorite musical piece with no lyrics. The simplicity, yet complexity, is magical and brings about feelings of innocence, youth, and times that are lost, yet not forgotten.

This is a good one, too. Speaking of youth...;)

I think that is enough for now.:laugh1:

That kid. Is insane. That is all.

And he doesn't appear to be reading music.

Okay, it isn't an instrumental, but watching all these guys perform on a single instrument is pretty cool (at least to me).

I saw him play on the 3G Tour with Vai and Satriani. Man, what a show. Another Austin player, Chris Duarte, was there too.

I was watching this and I was in the front part of the crowd.

I remember saying, "wow, if only everyone could see this.
" I was younger at the time and I thought rock players were the best. Of course I see things differently now. But what a group of players... even if they weren't the best bluesers.

I still think Hendrix sings and plays it better though.
