My youngest daughter and I both just grabbed some leftover casserole from last night and she informed me that it is her favorite and the only one she really likes. That got me to thinking. I love leftovers, but what is my favorite? Also thought it was a good topic, so what is yours?

I decided that mine is red chile cheese enchiladas. Overnight the sauce seeps deeper into the corn tortillas and the next day the flavor is even better than the night before.

Cold meatloaf sandwich with a dab of ketchup. Yum. If it's leftovers we're allowed to re-heat, I'd vote for Chinese food or post-Thanksgiving goodies.

Turkey and dressing.

Also BBQ seems to get better after a couple days.

Can't forget pizza either.

If pizza counts that works. My wife eats it cold but I can't stand it like that. So I get out the Goerge Foreman grill and warm it that way. It really changes the way it tastes.

casseroles, stews, chili etc. always seem to taste better the next day or two.

Leftover turkey on a roll with either mayo, or pickles and mustard.

Spagetti, pizza, chili, taco soup, red beans, Thanksgiving left overs, meatloaf...all great the next day.

Nailed it Hos.

Red chile is always better on the re-run. Especially if it's not powdered.

bb...........great call on the Thanksgiving re-runs too. We used to have those meatloaf sandwiches with ketchup for lunch when I was a kid. If I ever needed a reason to off my mother in her sleep...that'd be it. God, those are horrible. No offense.

Day old tomato sauce. I don't know what refrigerating it then reheating it does, but the flavor is stronger the next day. Same with chicken soup.

Casseroles were the first thing that popped into my mind. Good call on Thanksgiving Day leftovers, too.

I would have to say...Meatloaf! It makes a great sandwich! The second would be cold pizza followed closely by left over wilted salad. :)

A cold Turkey sandwich with mayo and pickels is a food of the God's.
