Favorite Non-Cowboy Player

Earl couldn't be handled one on one. He was like tackling a Brahma Bull with no help.

Earl was a great player, for sure but you know what? I've never seen a player play with more heart then Earl. If I were starting from scratch and I had to take one player, it would be Earl. I know that if I take that guy, I'm going to see him give everything he has, 100% of the time, no mater who the team is lying up across from him, no matter what the score is, what the record is, no matter what.

You don't see that in life much. Football is certainly not the easiest way to make a buck. Lots of easier ways. It's not the toughest I've ever seen but it's certainly not easy. Even so, Campbell did it every time I ever saw him play. Even at the end, when he didn't have the health or the skills he once did. The guy was just all in, all the time.

He makes a darn fine sausage too

IMO, for 5 years Earl Campbell was the best RB the NFL has ever seen. He got hurt around that time, and was never the same, though still good.

Don't make em like that anymore Brother. Heck, maybe they never did, IDK. I've never seen another one like him.
