Favorite play of 2009

Fast Forward to 1:38. I remember loving that.

Meh. I could think of better moments.

Like maybe Ware's strip-sack to seal the deal against the Saints?

That one is too obvious :)

My favorite play from last season was Felix's 73 yard TD run against Philly in the playoffs. It led to the Cowboys not only winning that game but winning their first playoff game in 13 years. That play really fired me up!

Miles Austin go ahead TD Week 9 vs. the Eagles.

or the Miles Austin TD to start the Saints game (really set the tone)

or Austin's TD's vs. KC... Damn he had a lot of big plays.

You want subtlety? Okay, then.

When Tashard Choice ran for two yards near the end of the first quarter against the Panthers on Monday Night Football.

Definitely one of the highlights of the season. Won me a century note because a Saints fan bet the room that they would tie the game to send it to overtime after Folk's miss. I couldn't let that bet go unanswered.

Sham's radio call of it is absolute gold. Back, sets.. HIT! The Cowboys recover! The Cowboys recover!

Sham is the man. I'm trying to get my TV set up this year where I can hook the audio up from offline so I can hear Babe and Brad call the games.

Romo running for his life, droping back ten or fifteen yards, while ducking, dodging ,scrambling, luring the defense after him and then throwing a twenty three yard strike for a first down.Oh, I think this was after a Flo offsides penalty also.Favorite play, off the top of my head.

And what also made that play a great one, to me, was that Jay Ratliff recovered. I like seeing Ware and Ratliff or Ware and Spencer double-timing opposing quarterbacks.

Miles overtime catch in KC. I was at that game, horrified by almost everything that went on in the first three quarters. That really turned the season around IMHO.

That's not just "your humble opinion." That's an incontrovertible fact. Blessed are those who saw that back then and said so.

Stopping McFlabb on fourth down was pretty sweet...

I liked the play in the Saints game when Spencer sacked Brees, had it called back by a penalty, and then came back the very next play and clobbered him again.

The long TD run by TD to totally ice the Philly playoff win was great, too.

In the Atlanta game, there were 2 plays back-to-back that I consider epic.

1-10-DAL 31 (6:07) M.Ryan sacked at DAL 38 for -7 yards (D.Ware). FUMBLES (D.Ware), RECOVERED by DAL-A.Spencer at DAL 41.
Dallas Cowboys at 5:59
1-10-DAL 41 (5:59) T.Romo pass deep left to M.Austin for 59 yards, TOUCHDOWN. Pass complete on deep post.

A couple other honorable mentions, Austin's catch to beat the Eagles in Philly. DWare's strip sack of McNabb late in the playoff game. Romo's Houdini act against the Falcons.

But I can't argue with that Felix gallop into the endzone. I especially enjoyed Michael's call toward the end when Samuels chose to avoid any contact and let him score. :D

That was the play that popped into my head when I saw the thread title.

All these are worthy candidates. Austin saved the season. Ware showed we could beat anybody in their house (except maybe the Vikes!), and Felix's plays sealed the division and the first playoff win in a long long time.

I have to go with Felix's dagger that clinched the playoff win.
