Oh, man... definitely! Loved Bonanza and the entire Cartwright family cast. Great add, J1.

I don't thing they could pull off the Hop Sing character in today's climate...

:laugh2: Lots of things we'll never see again. Some for the best. I'll have to show a certain someone Hop Sing.

PS: Didn't bother at all. He speaks Cantonese BTW.

Prolly not (in general), though they're doing a pretty good job going "old school" with the portrayal of certain ethnic characters in "Hell on Wheels" on AMC. I've liked that show so far, too. :D

Loved the Hop Sing character and how he fit into the mix. Victor Sen Yung, who played the character, actually speaks English perfectly. Caught a snippet of a TV interview w/him not too long ago... surprised me at first.

Here's a "Happy Birthday" tribute to VSY, replaying bits of him as Hop Sing in Bonanza.

oh and I forgot arguably the greatest character of all time

Kwai Chang Caine from Kung ** along with Master Po and Master Kan

Archie Bunker, Al Bundy, Andy Taylor and Hank Hill...if there was ever a man, it would be me.

Classic character... one of my favorites as well, Tonya... ;)
Tonya... oh yeah! .:laugh2:

Coxisms are plentiful and I love almost every one. Great character, wonderfully played by John C. McGinley.

Any other day I’d say no, but today I’m gonna go ahead and just say no.

You’re giving orders to me? OMG, Barboo, you make me want to LOL. I just discovered text messaging.
I know I’m a little late to the game, but that doesn’t mean that you’re any less of a G.A.B.P.I.T.A.W.M.W.

Don’t say hate, Gandhi, you keep throwing that word around so much it’s lost all of its meaning. Now I
have to find another word stronger than hate to describe how I feel about others. I mega-loathe you all.
Good day.

I’m just gonna go ahead and tip myself for calling this one. Thank you, me!

Listen, Newbie, you’re not a completely, terribly, horrible, incompetent doctor. While I would never let
any blood relatives be your patient, if it was someone that I knew, an acquaintance, I might be OK with
you treating them.

Bunker was for the most part, on before Rockford came on.
