I occasionally play the newer RPGs and I like many of them a lot, but the only ones that I loved playing were both Knights of the Old Republic and the first three or four versions of Zenda. Madden and Tiger Woods PGA Tour are my must-have titles each year, although I hated the '99 Madden with a passion. For what I call personal silly-fun playing, Ultimate Alliance was a good one. And my all-time favorite arcade game was Galaga. It's such a repetitve game, but to play one uninterrupted game for hours and hours takes a lot of concentration. I could do that because I was goooood. :

Several years ago I bought a Midway games collection for my pc that had Gaunlet in it. It's a good time waster. :laugh1:

I have to agree with you on Knights of the Old Republic. In my opinion, that game was a better experience than the last three released Star Wars movies put together.

I tried playing Madden on PC, but it never had the same feel as the console version. Wonder if EAS is getting away from the PC version because it's more profitable to go all-console instead?

I have to agree with you on Knights of the Old Republic. In my opinion, that game was a better experience than the last three released Star Wars movies put together.

I have to disagree with the movie comparison , but they are great games. I've played both games as the hero and villain and it's just as entertaining either way. Great stories with smart subplots that finish strong at their conclusion.

Probably since they don't have to worry about making it compatible with so many different pieces of hardware. They can just make it for 3 or 4 systems.

I played Madden for the xbox, before I sold it, and I didn't like it as much as the pc version. I guess I'm just to used to it but I guess that will change.

Man, I can never participate in these discussions. I always try to make a list of my favorite games but the list gets too long. I guess I have loved too many games through out my life. I can't pick a favorite
