Favourite Books

Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith
This is a awesome book, but it's long and can get very dry!
There is an incredible amount of knowledge stored in that book though.

If you like similar books and this one is quite a bit less dry. Try 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. Though the funny thing is, many of those law contradict each other rofl. It's still a very entertaining read.

Get The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene. That is a wonderful book too and you don't need to be a physicist to understand it. He is a great author too. I find him much better than Tyson.

There is an audio book version of it too.
I liked Tyson's book. It wasn't quite as rudimentary as the title would lead you to believe, and I like his occasional infusion of humor, even if it's a bit nerdy at times............but I'll try to remember to check out Greene's book.

Did you read 11/22/63 by King? I really enjoyed that book too. More than I thought I would.

Great book. A pretty cool hypothetical situation. What if..

The miniseries wasn't bad either. But felt kind of rushed and they changed a few things from the book.

Here's a few favorites..

Nikki Sixx - The Heroin Diaries
The Frankenstein series - Dean Koontz
The Passage Trilogy - Justin Kronin
The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova
The Nightingale - Kristin Hannah
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series
The Sackett series - Louis L'amour

and many more.

Adding the time dynamic... Then building a crazy storyline around it. That book was way better than I figured when I first decided to read it.

I don't read as much as I should or like to, but here's a few of my favorites.

Trout Fishing In America - Richard Brautigan (it's not about fishing.....lol)
On The Road - Jack Kerouac (enjoy all his stuff)
Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas - Hunter S Thompson (enjoy all his stuff)
Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy - Douglas Adams (loved the series)
Pretty much any Kurt Vonnegut
Most of Charles Bukowski's stuff (some I didn't care for)
Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance - Robert Pirsig
Pretty much any Hemingway and Poe

Stephen King and Tolkien, of course
Love HP Lovecraft stuff
Robert E Howard (Creator of Conan, also wrote a bunch of other short stories)
Edgar Rice Burroughs (especially Tarzan and John Carter books)
Michael Moorcock

Not really a reader as I can count the books I've read on two hands.
