League announces Favre fined $50,000 for lack of cooperation in Sterger investigation. So Favre's fine was for his actions in regards to the investigation and not what could be determined of his actions regarding allegations

NFL: Commissioner determined Favre wasn't candid in several respects during the investigation, resulting in a longer review and Additional public attention for the league, Favre and Sterger

I guess thats it, then.

Favre rides off into the sunset, never to be heard from again

I sentence you to go home to your faithful wife and explain yourself for the next 40 years.

What the heck does that mean, he wouldn't send Goodell texts of his unit?

This seems to indicate that there's more punishment to come for the actual acts he committed.

This couldn't possibly be the only discipline that the NFL is handing down here.

I couldn't draw up a worse commissioner than Goodell if I tried.

Guy is a total stooge.

Worst commissioner in all of sports, and is the worst NFL commissioner ever.

He's ruining the game IMO.

What else are they gonna do? favre's done after Sunday.

If it had been Romo doing this instad of Favre, Goodell would have probably dropped the bomb immediately.

Goodell is a stooge.

What are they going to do, his career is over. They waited this long so they wouldnt have to suspend the legend.

Just like they swept Spygate under the rug

I agree. But he is making everyone rich in the process so nobody will speak out.

Come on.

Your not devastated that the season is over next week? Simply b/c the stars get protected?

Sterger will take the whole thing full blown public, now. She claimed she wouldn't sue if the NFL punished Favre during the season. She's going to view this as a slap in the face and she's going to get revenge by going full blown Favre mud drag.

The owners were already rich and doing quite well without him.

Honestly Jones probably has more to do with the owners getting their pockets lined than Goodell does.

we already knew he sent her the pics. I personally neverthought they would suspend him being at the end of his career although they should have- if it were a different QB, say... a less sacred cow I see a different outcome.

good, then we get to see what she was texting him, photos hopefully.:D

He probably makes more than that every time one of his dumb Levi commercials come on.

Uh what... so he's only going to get fined for not cooperating or they are still investigating?

This doesn't make any sense.

We actually don't already know that for sure. We can assume he did since he's such a ******bag and he admitted sending the voicemails.

They haven't released the results of their investigation yet. As i said, im pretty sure the fine is just part of what the entire discipline will be.
