They couldn’t afford to pay him after what they paid Mahomes. Teams that have high-priced QBs are going to have a tough time paying elite WRs. Cincinnati is going to have their work cut out for them trying to sign Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. If Chase continues to produce he’ll be looking for $30 million per.
They could’ve afforded to pay him if they would’ve made decisions on other players. Chiefs determined he wasn’t worth it because they had Mahomes.

They had to pay Mahomes and he and their offense won’t be as good without Tyreek Hill.

Why don't we have poll like either $1.00 or $1 billion? Some of these questions are just silly.

I may be Romo's biggest fan that isn't a family member or Jason Witten, and this isn't even a question to me. Brett Favre was the better player. Period. Even if Romo had won a ring in 2014 or 2016 (had he been named starter when healthy), Favre is the better player in my humble opinion. And again...I am a Romo guy through and through.

Is this even a question? Even if you did rate Romo close or somehow better on ability, there was a 17-year period where Favre didn't miss a game. It was basically a 50-50 proposition on Romo being healthy in the playoffs.

Favre was a turnover machine

Not always.

from 94-97, a period where he won his 3 MVPs, his TD/INT stats were:

1994: 33 TDs, 14 INTs
1995: 38 TDs, 13 INTs (MVP)
1996: 39 TDs, 13 INTs (MVP)
1997: 35 TDs, 16 INTs MVP)

He also went to two Superbowls in that span and won one of them. Holmgren left shortly thereafter and Favre became less disciplined and his INT ratios went way up.

those who talk about favre as a turnover machine have selective memory and forget the earl;yyears of Romo and his untimely tosses to the other team.

In the Romo era. Who do you take? Romo is a big fan. Bret only won one... Who do you use.
Man, this really must be the summer. Favre won three straight MVP's. He was the first to break Marino's career passing TD record.
They are not even in the same league.
Just stop with all the Romo love already. I am more of a Romo guy than Dak but please stop this Stockholm Syndrome of Romo. He was a good player. He really had an amazing career for a guy who did not get drafted. He has made more money than most players can dream of if you include his TV career.
Great life, great career, I am sure he has no regrets

A superior organization wouldn't have had Romo starting. So be thankful this organization was dysfunctional because your boy Romo would've never started here.

If Romo doesn't get injured against the Hawks in the preseason, then Dak isn't starting either.

How many quarterbacks have thrown over 300 interceptions in their career?

The last time Romo faced Brett Favre was in the 2009 playoffs against Minnesota. Favre carved the Cowboys up with 4 TD passes, while Romo suffered 3 turnovers. He fumbled 3 times losing two of them and had a pick. Favre played in 4 conference title games with two different teams, while Romo never won a divisional round playoff game but some would rather have Romo? Lol Not to mention Favre won three league MVPs.

So the defense that each qb faced didn't matter, Minnesota won the game so they must have the better qb?

Given that Favre won 3 league MVPs there's an argument that he's one of the most overrated players in the history of the game. His TD to INT ratio is embarrassing given he's compared with genuine greats like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers.

As usual in the playoffs our defense played terrible against Favre and the Vikings but Romo was terrible as well. Some of that was due to our OL breakdowns but some of that was due to him. Once it started going bad for Romo in a playoff game it usually led to a meltdown.
