Fear the Walking Dead-Season 4

Please don't tell me that Texas being invaded by those people. My father was born and raised in Texas and I have a lot of family still living there. Most live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. My thoughts and prayers will be with them after reading this.
They've nuked our housing market. Sell avg house in California for $750k n buy a similar $200k house here.

The writing with the new show runners is so much better, it's better writing than the recent walking dead so far. Yet to be seen if they make us care about the characters as much (uphill battle) but it's a good start. Was shocked they killed Nick off.

Nick was the smartest character on the show for s long time, but the writers made the character into a reckless idiot.

I feel the character left on an empty note... He never really grew-up from season 1.

But the actor playing Nick wanted out of the series to pursue other projects– Maybe he wasn't thrilled with the direction the character was heading.

he's the one i've never liked from day 1. i went back and watched it all last night and one thing TWD does in general that makes it difficult to keep track of what is going on is the overuse of flashbacks.

in any event, when the cool guy got impaled by the deer horns, i figured that was kinda cool, if not poorly setup. i have no idea who the girl is that came out and shot nick but after watching him in 1 more episode, i can't blame her. he's kinda the most annoying character on TV so glad they're revamping the series.

i dig the reporter. i like the fact that not everyone they meet are a-holes but then again it could just be setting up a new group to follow. if so, great. but keep it under 25 people for me to track, much less care about. :)

the baseball field - was this something from the past? blonde chick in the bluebonnets also?

All the color stuff is in the past, black and white now. Baseball stadium is a Rangers triple A team, Round rock express I think. Used to be astros team, not sure when that happened

thank you - and about what i figured. my niece is married to a guy that does contract work for the rangers team down there. i need to go to a game this year while we can still get the VIP section. :)

Did you miss the 2 prior episodes? The girl was someone that Nick's family had found in the flashback scenes. She ended up being a spy/sabotuer for the Vultures and that guy Nick killed was the Vulture that had really found her originally and was sort of a surrogate father I assume.

only been halfway watching it. when i read in here nick died, i went back and paid attention and found a reason to care about the series now.

I’m a diehard walking dead and fear walking dead viewer

  • Never liked nicks character and I’m ok with them killing him off
  • Loved the swat vehicle
  • Like the gunslinger character
  • Thought the should have built a better gate for the baseball stadium

Thought last night's episode was sorta meh.
yea, i didn't see a whole lot of movement. but being new, still wrapped up in the stupid "5 years ago vs today" story telling.

i take it they got their butts whooped trying to defend the baseball stadium.
even after dying nick is still gonna be here living in flashbacks to annoy me even more
and the pace seems, at times, to be as slow as twd can be.

who's the blonde chic that keeps trying to run away? and how to 2 people become zombies and stay in their "fort" when tripping and falling into the dilly dilly pit of misery is so easy? then how did zombies get in there if they can't climb stairs?

ok - i need to cut that out. :)

I just hope they aren't going to drag out the baseball stadium flash backs til the season finale.

Blonde chic Naomi is Jenna Elfman, starred in that comedy Dharma & Greg around 2000.

People could have died in the "fort", bit going back and forth, starved or suicide or all it takes is one person to die in their sleep. But yeah odds are they would have walked off the slide long ago.

I also hate when they show people go stupid at times. I can at least see where Alicia could drop the knife in the one scene, but Naomi putting her knife down immediately after getting to the top with neither casing the place first for walkers. I would think any survivors would be smarter than that.

Another "bottle episode".

Will say though I like the character of John as opposed to several that have gone away like:

Nick
Travis
Chris

I could have cared less about any of them. Didn't think their characters were at all interesting.

I liked the episode, it did a good job of establishing the connection that ties Morgan and John as well as given the back story for him and Naomi.

Definitely a bit slow, dragged out but at least the characters are interesting.

I guess they're gonna wait til the mid season ender to say what's going on with Madison. Maybe the vultures have her?

It's kinda sad, but I don't care if they killed off any of the original characters, I never really found any one of them likeable or at least for very long. I already like the newer characters more than any of the original ones.

Thought it was a good episode last night.

The timelines are starting to intersect.

I guess Laura had Madison's walkie talkie. Can't imagine she's dead since no one is talking about it.
Someone pointed out that when she stepped out of the truck they showed she had the shoes on that she left at Dories

Thought the mid-season finale sucked...

To wipe out all the main characters from the 1st episode except the whiney, irrational daughter... Just head-spinning.
