just hope we dont face a buzzsaw in the divisional round like we did with the vikings.

Well if we get there it would be @Seattle or @New Orleans, so a buzzsaw it would be.

If we get there I imagine we will be the four and draw the five which is going to be Seattle or San Francisco.

I can't tell you how much I would love to get Seattle here at home for a playoff game.

it would be amazing, because on the road they are very beatable. @seattle? yeah, have fun romo and co.

If we want to be the best we got to beat the best. I would love to be in Seattle in the Divisional Round.

49ers at Cowboys in the wild card round would be a great playoff game. I also think the 49ers, out of all potential playoff opponents, might be one of the easier ones to play - I think it improbable for the Cowboys to beat the Saints, Packers or Seahawks in the playoffs.

Its not impossible to think that we could catch one of those teams. Unlikely, sure, but its possible. I still don't trust that Saints defense at all.

That would be in the wild card round.

It'll be interesting to see if we will build off the last two games. We can't continue to play .500 ball. I think we are a very good football team if our defense comes on.

Yes that what I said four vs five.

What's your point.

Your response to the Op was wrong. That's my point.

@No or @Sea would be our second game. Not at home.

A wishful scenario

1-NO
2-SF
3-DAL
4-GB
5-SEA
6-DET

Dal def Det
GB def Sea

Dal def SF
GB def NO

NFC Championship game at our house!
Dal def GB!!
SB champs !!

Ok, I said wishful. WTH, this post beats a whiney one any day.

I'm not wrong at all.

If we win the division as the four seed we will play the five seed at home.

I imagine as I said Seattle or sf, whoever doesn't win the division will be the highest wild card aka the fifth seed.

The five will travel to the four.

So as I said I would love to get Seattle at home in a playoff game.

Anything else?

At the moment, the most probably matchup looks like vs. San Fran in Dallas. I don't see us having a better record than the other 3 division winners in (likely) New Orleans, Seattle, Green Bay. Also, I think San Fran will probably clearly take the first Wildcard spot. I see the other Wildcard going to the Lions or the Bears.

My guess is:

San Fran @ Dallas
Chicago @ Green Bay

I think New Orleans takes the #1 spot and Seattle #2. So, if we pull off a victory, I think the next round will be:

Dallas @ New Orleans
Green Bay @ Seattle

This is the first time we've won back-to-back games by 14+ since the end of '09, so I'm feeling it too.

Yeah, we'll almost certainly have a home game in the first round. The only fathomable way we'll have a road game is if the Eagles (or Skins/Giants) win the NFC East and we take a Wildcard.

I also see us getting the #4 spot since I see the other division winners with better records. So we'd play the #5 team (the top Wildcard) in Dallas. The top Wildcard will likely be the loser of the NFC West. My money is on San Fran. And, like other people said, I think we can beat them. It's Green Bay, New Orleans, Seattle we need to worry about.

It feels like 2009 in the sense that, back then, the 5-2 Cowboys went on the road to play the 5-2 Eagles; winner took over top place in the NFC East. Dallas won 20-16.

Today, the 3-3 Cowboys went on the road to play the 3-3 Eagles; winner took over top place in the NFC East. Dallas won 17-3.

I agree, but I think he was talking about the divisional round, and that would probably be on the road.

Right but the thread is about 09.

In 09 we won the division and payed a home playoff game against Philly before the game at Minnesota.

And as I said I see us as the four and I think sf will find a way to win the west sending Seattle here. Which I would love.

I'm not one of those idiot fans that think the cowboys will win it all every year. I am one of the most reasonable fans there is.
I honestly feel we could beat anybody at home , and i feel like we could contend everybody on the road...our defense is better, offense is better, better o-line.
A 34-3 rout won't happen.
