Feels like there's a roster crunch coming

Hard for me to figure out who we cut off of the 53 to add a QB. I'm guessing it might be either Michael or one of the DT, maybe Bishop. I doubt we cut Butler because we would then need to replace him with another WR. I don't think there's an oline player we would cut that we wouldn't have to immediately replace. I don't think they want to alter the special teams, so i suspect McCray is safe.

Damn all these injuries, not just hurting for missing the players but also wreaking havoc upon the 53 man roster.

depending on what they find out about Romo you could potentially see him put on the IR/designated to return which would open up the spot so that's another option there

If you think either one will be back in around 8 weeks it actually doesn't make sense to put them on it. Because around 8 weeks can very easily be under 8 weeks and you don't want to keep one of them out longer to allow you to keep an inactive player on the roster. We will probably see more tomorrow or Tuesday I'd guess.

If they dont out Dez on IR that's probably good news. If 10-12 was accurate they would put him on IR to free up a spot for another QB

moore is on the practice squad so he does not count right now I think.

We haven't added Moore yet I would think. Not sure we can actually make changes to the 53 today. Moore is on the PS and will likely be signed to the 53. So no I expect us to add a 3rd QB who will be active for the next 6+ weeks.

But if he's ready in 8 weeks do you want to sit him for a week so we can keep the 53 man on the roster? That's the pickle we're in. If its a shorter injury you figure out who to dump and go on. If its longer you use the IR. Right at 8 weeks it seems very hard to decide.

if we put romo on the ir list the team has to make sure that it will take that long to get back from injury. if he is back sooner then that then we have to carry romo on the active roster and just have him as one of the inactive players on game day.
