Yeah but I think this time is different. The Goodwill is all used up. Fans aren’t buying this circus anymore.
This feels like the three straight 5-11 Campo seasons. Jerry felt the fan base starting to drift away and got everyone all excited again with the Parcells hiring.

The thing is, I have read that Jerry was absolutely miserable when Parcells was here, because it was the coach getting all the credit for turning the team around. Sadly I don't see anything changing that.

With the starting QB playing in the majority of the games, I don't think Dallas has a losing record in 20 years.

We are threatening to do that this year
You are right. The only losing records were when Romo missed significant time in 2010 and 2015, and Dak missing most of the 2020 season.

Right now it will take a herculean effort for this team to win even six or seven games; with or without Dak.

Many fans saw a down season coming. However, it’s been more of a train wreck than most anticipated, especially after the easy opening day win.

It sucks because I love football, but this thing is a train wreck.
Jerry Jones is destroying one of my few sources of enjoyment year after year. I watch other games from time to time but my emotional attachment is to the Cowboys. Like you said this sucks. And it will get worse before it gets better. IF it gets better.

Sure but this was obviously coming when they passed on the offseason.

McCarthy will be blamed but he's not the problem. He's just this year's excuse.
Exactly. I've been hearing excuses since January 28, 1996 and I'll still be hearing them for as long as I live, most likely.

Yeah,
Its just so unfortunate that the regular season cheerleaders on this forum have to experience a bad year too.
Their posts are my favorites.

It’s strange because before the season, I remember you and diehardblues predicting the team would finally make the NFCCG/SB and Dak would leave the Cowboys after disrespectfully not re-signing the golden child.
You don’t remember me predicting that. That’s a lie and if you’d lie on me I’m sure you are lying on Diehard. We have a whole bookmark function yet you guys never bookmark these things.

Losing is ugly and this place is melting down. Only silver lining is I hope Jerry realizes how idiotic his offseason was and does something about it in the next offseason.

.....its been a while gents. We've had it good recently.

Reminds one of sad days of JG era. Where every year we hoped to at least make the playoffs.

Now, the barn is burning. Never knowing if will make it back again.

I hate to break this to you, but we have been having losing seasons for the past 17 seasons.
Always taking advantage of a weaker schedule, and the past two years the Cowboys got too much help from the refs.
But when the Cowboys faced a good team they were beaten before the game began because of poor leadership; first from Garrett, then from his prodigy. 2.0.
