On the way home today they talked about Felix on Sirius NFL Radio. They addressed a couple of things. Apparently he has a PCL tear. Did we all already know this? I'm probably just now crawling out from under a rock but it was a bit of a surprise to me. The recovery time for PCL can range from 6-8wks for a slight tear to 6-8 months for a severe tear that requires a scope. Most doctors will let partial tears heal on their own since apparently it's not worth the added risk of going in and scoping a knee.

So... Does anyone know when The Cat will make it back to the field? The Sirius NFL "fantasy" gurus were saying dump dump dump. In other words, trade him now and get rid of him because he will be no good for the rest of the season. Is his injury that serious???

Let's just say you might want to temper your excitement when he returns.

This bad of an injury just from falling forwards when he was tackled by Carolina??? He didnt even get twisted, he just fell forward to the ground and now he has a PCL tear???

6-8 weeks is the timetable???

Good Lord, this guy is so freaking soft it is amazing. In the next Madden, he is going to have an injury rating of 12:mad:

Let me just go on record as saying this was hearsay by the Sirius NFL crew. I haven't seen anything that specifically legitimizes the claim that it's a tear vs a sprain... I don't want to be the catalyst for a new nasty rumor. Just curious what's up with the guy...

Also, a tear is a sprain.

Small tear = grade 1 sprain
Solid, but incomplete tear = grade 2 sprain
Full tear = grade 3 sprain

Argh. It sure would be nice to have a definite diagnosis on what's going on.

What are you talking about? A tear is a ligament. A sprain is a joint.

Big difference.
Like I said. A sprain is a tear.
