Felix Jones The Next Devin Hester?

Now don't want to put Felix Jones in the same company as the great return specialist in Devin Hester yet but the Cowboys may just have a kid that can be a excellent player.

Just like Hester, Jones has blazing speed, excellent vision and has knack for making big plays.

As the season goes on, if Jones continues to make huge plays, teams may opt to kick the ball away from him or start kicking the ball short so he doesn't get his hands on the ball.

If that starts to happen, the good news is that the Cowboys will be playing with a short field. The bad news is for the rest of the NFL trying to stop our highly-explosive offense.

The last thing that teams want to give to the Cowboys is a short field.

I guess Felix Jones is the "Wow" player that Jerry Jones was talking about back in the off-season.

Oh! BTW, Greenbay has not been that good with their Kick-coverage so far this year. Special teams could be the deciding factor come Sunday Night. If that is the case, I would give the Cowboys an considerable advantage.

I hope not... he can be so much more than a one-trick pony. He can actually contribute outside of special teams.

No doubt! But for now, he needs to be our Special-teams ace until he becomes more familiar with our offense.

I think this comparison is waaaaaaaay off base...They are nothing alike and begs of some 'homerism' here...Felix showed us all something as a returned but let's see how he continues to do ;)

Both Jones' are going to give us a special teams increase that we've needed. Oen Jones got the Kick-off return, now we need the other Jones to get a punt return!!!

Did you read the whole thread? Probably not! I never said he is Devin Hester. I said that he has the tools to be like Devin Hester, a player that gets excellent field-position.:bang2:

Felix is has good burst but he is far from 'blazing'...

I believe it was #39 for the Eagles almost caught Felix from behind. If Stanback didnt get in the way of him, Felix might have been caught.

I wouldnt even label McFadden as ' Blazing' either. How a 230 pound (Benard Pollard aka. Tom Brady Killa) safety caught 4.33 from behind still baffles me...

Felix i think will be very good, but not hester-level good. this guy blows by his opponents thats why he gets such good returns. even if theres a small hole, hes gone.

Isn't that the former Washington Commanders receiver who sucked?

Oh, well. At least he's not the next Tyson Thompson.
