every week the coach says he needs to get more touches but today when we needed his speed he was a none factor.it just seems when gets the ball he makes plays and thats what this offense needs but its not the offense that im worried about its the freakin defense

Felix Jones didn't touch the ball on offense today, not one time. I guess the 60 yarder for 6 didn't wake up our coaches. This is stupid. Why did you draft him? Why is he being handled like a baby?

I watch Chris Johnson play every week and he had 2 TDs today, and he isn't being treated like a baby in Tennessee.

Phillips and Garrett better wake up.

I don't think he would have played at all in Cleveland if Barber wasn't hurt.

Barber is a stud, but Dallas better take the training wheels off Felix and give him the freaking ball.

Someone PLEASE take a copy of the above post and drop it off at Valley Ranch.
Felix would be deadly as a reciever out of the backfield!!!

Why not incorporate an occassional well timed screen pass or draw to Felix....yeah, I don't get it either. Anyway It seemed as though the plan today was pass, pass, pass, with no real effort made to keep the defense honest.
Btw, great board, 1st post here, Cowboy fan since '70.

Didn't you hear? We don't have plays for him when we are playing from behind.

What bugs me most is the Skins did a good job vs TO and Witten and we still refused to try and get MB3 or Felix involved in the game running or out of the back field. Garrett needs to do a better job of getting all our play makers involved.

:welcome: to the CowboysZone!!!!!!!

No offensive touches for Felix is still a stat I just can't comprehend. I seriously try to examine and justify it, but can't. It's not as bad as not getting TO or Witten the ball at all, but doesn't rank that far behind.

Part of the blame with sticking with the run and getting Felix involved has to be put on the defense. They have to do a better job of getting off the field, they let Washington control the ball for way too long.

Dallas could have made sure they got him out in space today with all the man coverage Washington played, but they kept him in the garage. He could have been the difference in that game. He is a game breaker.

Yes. They were on the field for about 38 minutes, but there is no excuse for not getting the ball to Felix Jones. How many 3 and outs does it take?

Phillips' 'comfortable' quote isn't going to cut it with me. If they don't start playing him more and going out of their way to get him the football, they will pay the price.

Thanks.
Judging by the look on JJ's face I suspect we'll see a more focused team and a more balanced attack next game.

Very true. But also, the offense must help the defense out by not taking so many 3 and outs and give the defense some time to breathe on the bench.
