I want to say that I think he looks like a different back so far. He is running hard and making great cuts. I found it interesting the comment that CC made about him not wanting to push Barber. If he would've pushed Barber he would've started sooner. JMO.

Definitely looks more solid on his feet. Doesn't seem like he falls down as easily. Might be a balance thing too.

He looks like he is running lower to the ground.

His pass blocking was awesome. If he plays like that there is no reason he should not touch the ball 22-25 times a game. Every time he touches the ball good things happen.

He's also getting some running lanes from that oline, FINALLY..

felix looked great

really love the way he abused weddle on a couple plays....especially the stiff arm out of bounds.

he saved romo on that one blitz pick up for sure.

I agree with Hoge on ESPN about Felix and this offense. We need to become balanced and not have Romo chuck it around 40 times a game. Only 3 or 4 QBs in this league can handle that and Romo's not among them.

Felix is a superstar waiting to happen and we need to feed him them ball.

Wait a minute. Tap the brakes. Dont you guys remember that Ta-shart Choice is the best "All Around" back on this team according some CZ members. haha

And Kevin Ogletree was the next Larry Fitzgerald.

:p:

With Felix it is all about not getting nicked up.

:laugh2: yea, that's what I'll remember about tonight. Looked more powerful than I ever remember him being.

I don't believe he didn't want to push Barber. I think injuries and coaching decisions kept him from reaching his full potential. Hopefully he's on the path to reaching it. Should be fun to watch.

He was running smart and with speed and power. He is looking poised to have a huge year!

The biggest problem we had is the previous OL was so slow and wide that they just clogged everything up so there was nowhere for the RB to go. The other thing is that they just whiffed on so many blocks that the backs were constantly trying to evade someone in the backfield.

We are so much better off without Bigg and Colombo. They had become enormous liabilities. We hadn't been able to run to the right in the last 3 years despite having some of the best run blocking TEs in the game.

But what do we have behind Felix?

We have choice, who is pretty good, but he is what he is. we have a 3rd round draft choice who has yet to practice. We have Miller who KO's that DB on that blitz, but is unknown. And we have tanner, an unknown UDFA, who runs well, but can't pick up the blitz.

So much uncertainty at RB!

I think the triumvirant of Felix, Murray and Tanner would be just fine. And yes, I know two of those players are rookies.

Ya but we kinda had the same thing a few years ago when Felix and Choice were drafted. I mean we rolled with MB3 Jones and Choice. Why couldn't we do the same this year? Jones, Murray and Tanner?

Same thing we had when Jones and Choice were drafted. MB3 and 2 rooks. However I think Jones and Murray and Tanner all have more talent then M3, Jones and Choice.
