Felix Jones

Who did Phillip Tanner piss off? Guess the coaches saw something on film they hated, like missing running lanes or whatev.. Hope our star RB is ready to play against Cleveland, as much as the o-line does bad, they do provide plenty of holes that our RB's don't see & Murray's vision is very very good & we'll get to see those cutback or bounce out runs. Please be & stay near 100% Demarco! Proud of Felix though

Jones is always dinged..but Murray is an ironman....Jones is the better back...

Ironman Murray? Somebody mentioned drug testing for this forum. I'd start with this thread.

It looks like he's in shape now. Jimmy Johnson pointed it out during the game. How much quicker he looks now than he did at the start of the season. He came to camp out of shape and even failed the conditioning test. That's rare for a RB.

I still don't want him around after this season.

Ya, just what we need is players (especially a RB) showing up to camp out of shape, and taking half the season to get in shape before he is worth a nickel.

He sealed his fate in the offseason - good riddance.

I wonder if he is the right kind of guy?

;)

Felix was out of shape in the beginning of the season because he had surgery. And he's been playing hurt the last few weeks. I admit I haven't been a big Felix fan. Mainly because you don't use a first on a part time rb. But he has a valuable role on this team.

That's a lame excuse. He's not the first RB to come back from an injury the previous year yet it's extremely rare to see a RB fail a conditioning test.

My best guess would be he's a lazy player who didn't work hard enough to make sure he was in the best shape possible for training camp.

Gimme an OLine that can block and I'll take Sherman Williams out there in the backfield

Sherman Williams looked terrible running behind our SB OL.

The problem with felix is that how good he played against philly, he'll come back against cleveland and run it 13 times for 15 yards and a fumble

i really don't want to throw out julius jones comparasions, but he is really getting to be JJ v.2

I don't think its anything Tanner did.. i think Dunbar has just passed him on the depth chart.

That's a lazy guess considering he was only cleared to begin practice a day or two before TC and he has no history of being a lazy guy or a guy who doesn't put the team first.

You believe what you want to believe.. there's no history to back it up though.

I think Felix needs about 15 touches a game to show what he has. Problem is he can't stay healthy if he gets that many touches.

There is no telling what he is playing through right now though.

If your under 30, then please don't respond, because you haven't watched enoughh football to know doddily squat :)

Felix will be around the league and better career stats the Murray? Why? Because Murray is the typical one year wonder, we've all seen them come and go, and last year will be his career high. He will be hurt more often than not, and will be a 2.5 ypc career RB.

Just wait and see.

Disappointed with him after his first season, but after I saw him getting hits and getting up and keep playing (he did make some plays) I started to feel some appreciation to him..he did seem to put it all on the field..

Had Murray been hit as much as Feliix did last night he would be out for the season :laugh2: ...as fragile as Felix is he seems to be a bit more resilient than Murray..

I like them both and if you could turn them into 1 back you'd have a perfect RB.

I just don't like Felix as a complimentary back. I think he is a starter type but I also concede that he will never stay healthy if he is a starter.

So if Murray is your guy than I would definetely let Felix walk this offseason.

The problem is Murray hasn't shown he can stay healthy either.

Keep the guy still under contract and draft a back in April.
