#28 has taken out two defensive backs in two weeks.:lmao2:

He has been somewhat fragile up to this point, but the last two games, it's the opposition that has been left on the carpet. I love it. I can't wait until we figure out how to best utilize Felix Jones.

Felix has bulked up too much or something. He doesn't look nearly as fast now unless he just isn't steppin on it.

He's getting some pretty lousy running lanes. On offense and special teams.

Plus he never looks THAT fast.

I guarantee its that stupid knee brace.

I don't know how those guys could play runningback with one of those things on.

It makes you completely robotic imo.

With that being said.... Us not having Felix Jones fully implemented into this offense just means that our Offense still has a ton of upside.

at Arkansas with McFaden, they put in Felix on the goal line many times because he's a tough inside runner--hoping his injuries are in the past

There is nothing fragile about Felix. He has had a couple of bad breaks in terms of injury but he has never been known as a player who has been injured alot. Heck Adrian Peterson has suffered more injuries dating back to college than Felix has. It is football and injuries will happen, not much anyone can do about that.

I hope you're right about that. I want to see more of Felix in our offense. IMO, Garrett hasn't figured out how to properly use him yet. We have a lot of other weapons, so it's a good problem to have.

I agree, but still he just doesn't look the same running and he looks much more bulky than his rookie year.

Thats to be expected.

He is still going to make big plays. Hes made them all year when healthy.

Felix may not be the fastest man alive but his 0 to 60 is better than almost anyone elses 0 to 60.

He gets to top speed quicker than almost anyone i've seen.

Get that knee brace off of him and let him get into a rhythm and he'll get it going.

We only have one ball. I think Garrett does know how to use him which is why he has put up good numbers.

And that statement is true and it just makes me think that the release of Owens was a brilliant move.

We have so many guys on this team who can make plays and there is just no way we could keep feeding Owens like he would want.

True. Austin did not get many touches but I think what we will see from this team will be different stars of the game instead of depending on 1 or 2 to get the job done.

Felix looks to me like since the injury earlier this season he doesn't have the burst back, but it'll get there. I think if he had it he'd be getting more touches to be honest, and I think the coaching staff realizes that. Better to have a fully healthy Felix for the stretch than to have him aggravate an injury by using him too much right now.

Besides, if we're moving the ball, who cares who's getting the touches? It's like people are playing Madden and they want to try to get stats for all the guys so they can make the pro bowl. :laugh1:

Anyone that says this is usally referring to special teams. And he has ALWAYS returned kicks that way. He doesn't just bolt up the field, but man there were a couple of times I was worried he'd even get to the 20.

F. Jones can gain 7-9 yards in the middle of traffic about as fast as anyone I've seen. He's bottled lightning. And yeah he's been laying the wood! Its awesome because he's not seen as that type of back. He had a really nice return like that last night where he was one on one with a defender and just knocked him.

Lol, the guy had him dead to rights and he just bulldozed him :laugh2:

I think Mr. Jones may be reading these comments about him being fragile and soft, which btw.....is not true.
