Geez guys why cant you jst give Roy a real chance this year...what if he plays well and then what would you haters say? The man hasnt lived up to his expectations so far but honestly arent our expectations a bit crazy for him. I say give him this year and then make your judgements! I'm sick of this he is part of our team and we should be pulling for him! Dez needs to earn his stripes and carry his damn pads btw!:bang2:

I don't think that my expectations of him have been excessive---like catch the ball if it hits him in the hands. If you get paid to catch the ball, catch the ball. Especially if you get paid a gazallion dollars to do it.

Ogletree and Dez didn't seem so have a problem with that right out of the chute.

Roy has been a huge disappointment...I don't expect him to improve much this year. I don't think his long strides and lack of quickness fit our system very well.

I think that trade will go down as a terrible one and he won't finish his contract in Dallas.

That said, I think he's done nothing but act and work in a professional way under extremely difficult and disappointing circumstances. He is what he is, and I don't hold that against him...it's not like he's not trying or not accepting responsibility. I hope he has a great year, but I don't think it will happen for him in Dallas.

And why do we need another thread on this? I can't believe there is this much noise being made about some pads.

I think it's kinda weak the Roy Williams told the press that Dez wouldn't carry his pads and said he would run up his credit cards. Who does that? Very sour grapes on RW11's part. He's just scared about his role as a starter now. I don't understand how people are sticking up for RW11? Crazy

from video I have seen...Roy looks good. He is running his routes with his legs bent instead of being too upright. But i really think its cheap for him to haze Dez cause he knows this is probably his last opportunity to have upper hand on Dez. Roy trying to haze Dez just reeks of envy.

it is hazing. Dez needs to put his ego down, take it, and then show Roy up by taking his job.

that's how you do it.

Roy Willimas is just one of those guys who is his own worst enemy and I am not talking about asking someone to carry his pads.

Seriously, you bring it to the press? That's the weak part. That's like going to your mommy cause someones calling you names and making you cry.

I hear what you are saying but Roy has brought this all on himself and only he can fix it. By seasons end we will know the bottom line. Until then it's open season on #11 I'm afraid.

it is part of the hazing. get over it. you are simply looking for a reason to hate on RW11. seriously, you are being lame.

Roy dumped his pads off at Dez's feet (supposedly) while he was being interviews. Dez didn't bite and Roy reacted by tattling to the media about it. EVERYTHING Roy has said about Dez oozes jealously. Two days ago, Roy compared Dez to a new truck that everyone just likes because it's new. Roy knows he won't be starting for this team much longer so he's doing everything to make life difficult for Dez until he takes over.

No question Roy has dropped some balls, but if you actually watch the games, Roy has had some of the worst passes i've ever seen thrown to him and it seems while Romo can hit everyone else in stride, Roy is always left to have to reach way out to get his. This is obviously a lack of communication between the two, and also Romo not being accustomed to the type of receiver that Roy is. Tony has never thrown the quick slant very well and his timing with Roy has not been good since he got here.

Also if you've been watching training camp video Roy has caught pretty much everything thrown his way, as have dez and ogletree. The player with the most drops so far seems to be Miles Austin with about 4 or 5 in two practices already. Where's all the haters for Miles over that? lol

Oh and Roy earned his stripes when he was drafted into this league with the Lions.. to answer another poster.

he does look good so eat some crow haters!

I mean come on Roy hasnt had it so easy and you cant say he has...he and romo have had a hard time connecting...sure he has dropped some balls but alot werent even on target by romo...I see a very good year for Roy just watch it happen!

No way I'll lay off of him, he's one of the most pathetic playes in the league.
