Cowboys were much better in the redzone going 3 for 4 75% while Dallas Defense held NY to 1 of 4 in the redzone

Cowboys had 3 penalties in the game, a low for the season not bad going up aginst a NY defensive front yet OL did not get the boat load of holding and jumping off sides.

Not posting this to make people feel good about a loss like this it hurts but I don't think some of the positives should be lost in all of this.

Yeah it was nice to finally see the Cowboys be able to score in the red zone. That has been a problem for several seasons. If we can continue to score touchdowns down there in the red zone and just stop turning the football over so much we can be a pretty explosive offense. That's a big if though. We thought after the Chicago game there's no way these turnovers continue and here we are nearly a month later with the same issue.

The red zone success was nice to see considering our recent struggles with that. Still a bit concerning that we couldn't just punch it in from a yard out though.

I think this team has shown they can score and play defense. Problem is there are just too many bone heads, starting with the head guy with an Ivy League education.

I did like the 4th and 1 when Romo bootlegged and ran into the endzone. Dallas used the play later but this time the DB released Phillips to go after Romo and Tony was able to dump it off to Phillips for the easy TD

1. Carter = STUD. Hard to believe he was credited with only 4 tackles. He was seemingly everywhere. Looks like the middle of our D is set for the next few years with the tandem of Carter/Lee.

2. Carr and Claiborne may not be shutdown types but they are good CBs. This position should be a strength for the next few seasons.

McCray and Church appear to be solid players which is saying something given our luck at S in recent years. I'd like to add one ballhawk type S back there to form a nice trio at S.

I hated that we couldn't just punch it in running three times up the gut after first and goal from the one. I miss the days we could do that. Instead had to throw to Hanna once and then rely on a nerve wracking Romo scramble. But we got in so I cant complain.

How dare you point out the positives when we were having so much fun wallowing in misery.

We also pretty much shut down Cruz and Nicks in yesterdays game and the opening game

Then you will wallow without me, I have no time for pity parties.

Team still making too many critical mistakes but I can see things that they have talked about in terms of trying to improve and showed in this game like the things I mentioned.

I also noticed the team getting in and out of the huddle quicker and the ball being snapped much quicker. After a heartbreaking loss it is easy to gloss over some things they have improved on and that is understandable no one likes to lose

Hopefully we provided the blueprint to the Giants' future opponents of how to beat them handily. We'll need that and a winning streak of our own to catch up to them now and win the division.

That play impressed me, .. I have seen some QB's scrambling and then see someone open in the EZ, or like Romo, have the player coming up at him quickly, ... and then when they have to throw a quick, short throw they mess it up.

Sometimes that short throw is not accurate, or the receiver is not ready and drops it.

Main thing is Dallas start taking care of their own business. Gaints will hit their bump in the road but unless Dallas can clean things up it will not matter

Just kidding. I don't wallow myself. I have come to expect these loses. No need in letting them raise my blood pressure.

I agree. I have always loved that play in the redzone, fake to RB going to the left the linemen blocking down and come off with the bootleg right with the option of running it in at QB or dumping it off should the defender release from his man. Of course for that to work the outside defender on the line has to bite down on the play but in short yardage they normally do

I have yet to come to expect loses but I don't let them effect me beyond that day. I look to things they must improve on and I also look to things they did well or things that they had been doing poorly but showing improvement. I don't look at half a picture I look at the picture as a whole.

That is hard to do. I have had to distance myself, and my emotions.

I sat watching by myself through the ridiculously embarassing 1st quarter and never moved, never made a sound.

I did the same throughout the comeback, .. same when Felix fumbled, same when the Giants took the lead, and went up 29-24.

I had no reaction when Dez caught the ball in the EZ except a small smile.

I felt sure it would be reversed.

So when we lost I just turned it off, got something to eat, and watched the Sunday night game and the World Series.

First game that has ever happened to me. It will be a long time before I put my heart on the line for the Cowboys again. I will watch every game that I can, .. but I can't get emotionally involved. Too painful.

If I did not put my heart on the line it would not be worth watching to me. When the time comes I don't care I will not watch it. To me that is why I enjoy sports. I also know part of the bargain is defeat, I have understood that since I started playing sports that you have to deal with both victory and defeat and if you can't then chances are you need to find something else that gets the juices flowing.

For me, I was already embarassed for letting them squash my heart time and time again, over and over, in new and unbelievable ways each time. But I would continue to do so. I will always watch if they are on TV here, and I will always want them to win, but until we stop beating ourselves I will not put my heart on the line.

I know part of the bargain is defeat, .. but I can't understand continually beating yourself. If we did not have a good team, I could figure out why we lose. But I feel like we should be winning many of these games that we are giving away.

I can deal with both victory and defeat, but I can not fathom giving games away so often. I cheer them on, I root against our opponent, .. but it's not the other team that beats us, it is us that beats us. I am sick of that.
