After giving Desmond Bishop a 4-year extension and re-signing A.J Hawk to a 5-year deal, the Packers have placed veteran LB Nick Barnett on the block.

Originally drafted in the first round of the 2003 draft, Barnett is due to make $5.5 million next season, a price that without a doubt the Packers won't pay for a back-up.

We need to draft ILBs. Now to eventually replace James. We need more speed at the position. More coverage. I'd much rather do that than spend much more money on a FA. We can get by with the ILBs on the roster.

We DON'T want this guy!!! From what I've seen of him monopolizing himself in the local media up here, it would be suicide for us to inject him into our national media spotlight. He doesn't have the mentality to handle it and it would only be a matter of time til his sense of grandeur exploded in his head.

For Packer-haters up here in Green Bay, him and Rodgers are probably 1 & 2 most hated in a long time.
