It was mentioned during the broadcast (radio and also TV, I think) that the roof of Cowboys Stadium was closed, but that the sides (or windows?) were open. Not sure what that meant since I haven't been there to see what they're talking about.

But we saw three missed field goals (one by Folk and two by Suisham) and all three balls looked to react oddly when sailing toward the uprights. Folk, especially, had this look on his face like he was trying to figure out what happened.

This stadium is so new that we're still learning about how the wind reacts in it. I wonder if it's somewhat like Giants Stadium, which is known for its swirling winds.

Or did both kickers just blow it?

Good point, Chief. I saw where Zorn said that as odd as it sounds for what is basically a domed stadium, there was some breeze in there with the doors open.

I didn't notice the flags moving at the top of the goal posts. I don't know what the wind direction was in the DFW area yesterday but a wind directly out of the west or east is very uncommon. I think the kickers just blew it.

I was at the Seattle game and they had the same deal with the roof closed and the windows open but there was hardly a breeze going on. I'd say both of them choked.

There was an occasional breeze coming from the Southwest end of the stadium. Folks miss and the second Suisham miss would have been with a breeze at their back. Suisham's first miss was into the breeze. But I didn't notice it enough to where I think it was a real issue.
