This is good. Hopefully Fields can keep boosting his stock and having Lawrence take a bit of a hit to his stock could help out if we're in position to draft him.

If we are picking 2, the Jets are at 1, and Lawrence says he will sit out then Justin Fields or Sewell being viewed as just as good could be huge for us.

Clemson won last week and some people are already saying that Lawrence is a product of the system and they will win without him. Like that matters! So I hope Lawrence does not play against Notre Dame this weekend and hopefully his backup plays at a high level and they win.

I'm way over thinking this but I just want to get him on our team so my hope is Fields keeps convincing people he is worthy of being chosen over Lawrence because there is people already convincing themselves of this.

If Lawrence does play against ND.. I'm kinda hoping he struggles a bit lol.

The Fields movement is real though and it can only help in terms of getting Lawrence to Dallas.

Nope. Lawrence would have been the first pick in the draft the past 2 drafts. He's tall, fast, and has a laser accurate arm. Clemsons offense is struggling without him. They almost lost to BC last week. ND will probably beat them this weekend as Lawrence has already been ruled out. Now, he could tell the NYJ that he'll go back to college if they draft him. ELI Maning did that to SD which is how he ended up in NY.

Their is not way Fields go ahead of Lawrence. Jets wouldn't risk taking that risk. Lawrence is a risk also, but he has a better track record comes from a winning program and has produced. Field is a good QB, but he doesn't have the Past Record to say the Jets will pick him over Lawrence. The Questions becomes is DAK signed to a Contract before the Draft? It all comes down to that ......I know they will Franchise him to protect themselves but that will have a big impact on what Dallas does with Top Five Pick. Do they take Fields ..which might be available or do they trade down for somebody who might have a shot a Fields? I like the LB and CB in Round 1. But I think they need to decide this off season if Dak is the guy going forward....Pay him or Trade Him or just move on and get what ever value you can for him. I don't think you can keep this contract situation as is moving forward.

That the only way Lawrence ends up in Dallas.....if he says I will go back if you draft me. I could imagine Jets trading for Dak and our 1st Round Pick and next year 1st. It is going to be expensive......Jets could get Dak..another 2nd Round for Sam Donald. A lot of things can happen. But first Dallas has to settle the contract situation with DAK..

I’m as big of fan of Fields as anyone on this board. Something drastic would have to happen for fields to pass Lawrence

Dallas is on the Clock.....no Deal for Dak at the time of the Draft..... Do you take Fields or trade back?

This but even if we don't get him Sewell looks like a good consolation prize. I know that is too much invested in the OL but with Smith's injuries you never can too sure. Plus he is the best player available.

I've been saying since last year that Fields will be in the conversation. He's really good.

In any other year, he might even be considered for the top pick.

But this isn't any other year.

You never know how things will eventually turn out 10 years from now, but as a prospect, Fields is not in the same league as Lawrence.

You get a prospect like Elway and then, on paper, Luck. These guys come along every decade or so.

I heard a scout yesterday say that he could not think of one significant thing that Fields was better at than Lawrence.
I'd say he can run better, though both run well.
But that is it. All the various throws, deep, short, wide, middle, touch, reads, accuracy at all levels, strength, size, etc,etc....all boxes checked for Lawrence.

Fields. No brainer for me.

Offense will be back and healthy. Spend the picks and money on defense

The only thing that I have question ....and I am not EXPERT. Would he be able to run the offense instead of running every time he gets the ball. Can he spead the ball and hit the "outs" and the Intermediate Routes and of course the deep Routes. That's my only concern. Can he be a Pro Passer or QB instead of an Athletic QB in College. Athletic QB in College are good QB...but it takes time.

There would be a massive downgrade in terms of actually running the entire offense from Dak to Fields.

Fields will be similar to Dak as a rookie, one read and then scramble. You can theoretically win like that, but it's a heck of a lot harder.

It’s November and it’s really hard for me to make that choice right now.

Agree but how long does it last?

Because next year is not looking good for this team.. At best they win a crappy division and might get lucky and win 1 playoff game. That’s if everything goes right.

Catch, if you get a chance watch Zach Wilson tonight. BYU at Boise State.

I think he fits our passing offense better then the other two. He is more accurate then Lawrence and has a stronger arm then Fields. Plus I like the fact that his team is not as stacked as Trevor and Justin. He actually might have some adversity tonight. I want to see these guys under the gun.

You need to put down the pipe. Lawrence could take the rest of the season off while Fields puts up never before seen numbers and Lawrence is still going to be the #1 pick. The only way Lawrence doesn't go #1 is if he suffers a catastrophic injury or saying/does something incredibly stupid.
