FIFA World Cup 2026

Pretty sure price gouging is supposed to be illegal….of course you know people can just….not go…
I mean really, soccer?

Showpiece event for the worlds most popular sport being played in the one country that doesnt really care for it makes zero sense for many reasons.

We hosted in 1994 and it was a great success breaking tons of attendance records.

Wait until you find out that the appeal of the sport is far greater than you realize in the US

Well, it does make financial sense. People from all over the world are going to come to the US. It’s a huge financial “sense”.

Does that include movies & dinner ?

Better hope the tourists stay off the NYC subway system .

It's actually to cover their costs. So they say. There is going to be 8 matches there I believe. There is a 4 hour window that if you're not going to the game, you're not getting on the train. You need a ticket to the game to buy the 150 dollar train ticket. But I'm sure this will come as a shock to some commuters.

I've been tuned in to the WC since 1982. I wouldn't miss it. It's the only event/competition that matters to the entire world. You win this, you truly have bragging rights. This is why I hate it when we don't even contend. What was the year we did really well? Was that 2002? We had a good team. Damn set piece.

How the hell did Cabo Verde get into this tournament?
