I noticed Broncos GM was in attendance for Oregon’s game yesterday. No doubt they won’t stand pat with just Keenum as the incumbent. It’s not exactly going out on a ledge but I would wager some coin that the Broncos move up to grab there future QB.

they should have drafted a quarterback in the 2018 draft.

How many more swings at the plate does Elway get at this? He got a foul tip on Brock O. after he decided to take more money in Houston. He missed on Siemian, swung at a ball in the dirt on Lynch, and now appears to have whiffed on a curve ball in Keenum. It's great that he was able to put together a world class defense to win a Super Bowl with a shot Manning (I guess there's some credit in having a last great year Manning get to another Super Bowl prior), but we're still talking about someone you didn't help spot and develop.

I'd have to think that spending a high pick on yet another QB is a signal to ownership that you're pretty much at a loss. I know the guy's a legend in the area but when you can't get it done you can't get it done.

Saying this as a fan of a team that's employed a farce of a GM for 30 years.

Noticed that too. Strongly suspect the same however they better hope the NYG don’t have the first overall pick which may be their biggest obstacle

We're going to win just enough games to not have a shot at a qb. Hopefully Lawrence walks not wanting to waste years waiting for a qb. We might have to pay for a qb if we cant draft one.

None really out there in free agency either. Teams no longer develop young QBs, they play them.

The free agent class:
Tyrod Taylor QB Browns Void $15,250,000 $15,500,000
Josh McCown QB Jets UFA $10,000,000 $5,000,000
Teddy Bridgewater QB Saints Void $6,000,000 $500,000
Matt Schaub QB Falcons UFA $4,000,000 $2,500,000
Ryan Fitzpatrick QB Buccaneers UFA $3,300,000 $1,300,000
Colt McCoy QB Commanders Void $3,250,000 $2,000,000
Ryan Griffin QB Buccaneers UFA $1,275,000 $0
Matt Cassel QB Lions UFA $1,105,000 $0
Robert Griffin III QB Ravens UFA $1,100,000 $100,000
Derek Anderson QB Bills UFA $1,073,530 $58,530
Geno Smith QB Chargers UFA $1,000,000 $200,000
Joe Webb QB Texans UFA $915,000 $0
David Fales QB Dolphins UFA $880,000 $90,000
Brock Osweiler QB Dolphins UFA $880,000 $630,000
Sean Mannion QB Rams UFA $812,724 $625,796
Brandon Weeden QBTexans UFA

...is awful.

The likely draft class is:
10 Ryan Finley NC State Sr QB 1 6-4 212
17 Drew Lock Missouri Sr QB 2 6-4 225
21 Justin Herbert Oregon Jr QB 3 6-6 233
48 Jarrett Stidham Auburn Jr QB 4 6-3 215
60 Jake Browning Washington Sr QB 5 6-2 210
69 Will Grier West Virginia Sr QB 6 6-2 223
77 Brett Rypien Boise St. Sr QB 7 6-2 202

...is unimpressive.

Not the year to need a QB. I think Dak gets 2019 to prove he's legit or not.
