Fill in the blank. Our 1st loss will be to ______.

I don't expect to go 16-0 but I can't predict which one we will lose. Each year it seems teams win some games they should have lost and lose some games they should win.

Buffalo if we get to overconfident but more likely NE if we keep up these slow starts.

:hammer:

Against New England the slow start could put us too far behind the 8 ball. We'll score, no doubt, but if we don't get it rolling early it may be too little too late.

If by some miracle we do beat New England I can't wait to see what kind of spin the spin doctors over at Eskins can come up with.

Yes, we will beat the Pats in our house. Book it!

I believe that we can win every game with this team - however, there will be a time when something doesn't go our way and we can't overcome the problems in a game.

As for our first loss, I think it will be the Pats, but only because we have never beaten Randy Moss and until we can disprove history, I have to believe that it is an indicator of future performance.

First loss in Philly. We never play well there. However, it is our first game after our bye week. We should be well rested for the game. Maybe a bit rusty also. I think we'll be 7-0 going into the bye week. No way we lose to Buffalo or Minnesota. We might lose to N.E., but Texas Stadium will be rocking. I say we beat them.

I think we lose to NE, but its because of our D and not offense. I still worry about Romo's ability to hold on to the ball. He's amazing but the ball is always positioned for an easy swipe by a defender to cause a fumble.

I hope we rest Henry, Ellis, and Newman if needed this week. I rather have our offense destroy Buffalo while letting them score some points if we can have those 3 healthy for the Pats game. Our defense is getting better and healthier by the week, but we have not faced a jauggernaut like the Pats. They can play smash-mouth football with Maroney. They can go into 5 WR sets. You have 3 good WRs and arguably the most explosive one in the entire NFL. Can't sleep on Stallworth who has been too quiet. Welker is solid. You have Watson. We will have our hands full.

I can swallow a loss if its a close one. I just hope we don't show up like the Chargers.

Offensively, I find it critical to get JJ/MB3 going. Romo will make his plays but this is a solid group of intelligent Vets defensively. I'm sure Bellichek will find new schemes to confuse us offensively. We cannot be one-dimensional as we were vs the Bears. Because no lead will be too comfortable IMO when you have a healthy and motivated Randy Moss on the other side.

We can win, but we need to bring our A Game to have a solid chance.

FIrst loss: The AFC in the Pro-Bowl.
Our team is good, but despite being selected to every position on the NFC ProBowl squad, they will be no match for the AFC all-stars.
Cowboys lose to AFC 21-23.

If there is anything that worries me about this team it is the slow starts (along with the 3rd down drops). We can't afford to start this way against the better teams in the NFL, like the Pats, or we will be playing catch-up all game long. I feel much more comfortable when our offense can dictate the game than when we have to go one demensional.

If I were a betting man (and I'm not), my choice would be Philadelphia on November 4th.

The few. The proud. The "hate it when I'm right" crowd. :)

j/k Everyone. :p:

LMAO wouldn't that be the shiznit.

First loss: Minnesota. Wake up call after we beat the Pats.

To reiterate(and I don't even know what that means...)

The last couple weeks I've seen people mention a 'trap' game.

Historically speaking....it's tough to win after a Monday night road game against a tough opponent.

Trounce Buffalo...look out for the Pats.
