Collins makes some amazing plays. Dare I say, Larry Allen type of plays.

But he's STRUGGLING big time so far in pass protection. Just about any twist or stunt works on him, and it's a huge problem. It's moving way too fast for him right now.

All teachable stuff, but the highlight plays are deflecting attention from his significant rookie struggles this far.

His technique is not my favorite: (This isn't always the case)

Guy's a beast. I thought he'd be the day one starter at LG.

We have a great foundation on the O-line. I would love to see them handed off to a top notch coaching staff.

It will slow down for him in his 2nd year. A lot on his plate right now to digest.

Looks like we got three homeruns out of the entering class this year. I include Gregory in there mostly because I think he would be showing a bit more by now if he hadn't had that high ankle sprain.

We have to get through the offseason without Gregory smoking up half of Colorado. Collins and Jones look solid as they come.

I don't think he's struggling big time in pass protection. He's working to figure it out, but most plays he does a decent enough job. He needs to get a little better with his leverage because when he is blocking somebody straight up he's not as good. But when he is pulling or doing any type of blocking where he gets a head full of steam, he's like a create-a-player on Madden that you give a super fast speed to. He reminds me a bit of Randall McDaniel, but even McDaniel doesn't have the speed that Collins has. It's ridiculous to watch.

Collin's speed will give the Cowboys much better misdirection and plays that pop outside.

Agree, the experience witnessing them now (stunts/delayed rushes, blitz pickups, etc.) will help him next year. Think that will get coached out of him in mini camps but the coaches have done a good job working on his going high/lunging in his rookie year to their credit.
